As part of our Landsail promotions our customers are coming back after 3,000 miles for a measure up to see how much tread has been used in that time. Phil dropped in today with the Ssangyong Musso 4X4 after having the Landsail LS588 SUV 255 60 18 112H XL tyres fitted with the vehicle having covered 44,799 miles. The new tyres start out at 7.3mm of tread. He`s on 47,400 miles and the measurements are as follows;
Nearside front inside groove outside groove
6.7mm 7.07
Nearside rear inside groove outside groove
6.93 7.08
Offside front inside groove outside groove
6.92 7.29
Nearside rear inside groove outside groove
7.05 6.95

Taking the 6.7mm on the nearside front as the most used early calculations suggest around 30,000 miles use out of the tyre. Phil will be back on 6,000 miles for another measure up.

One of our most travelled customers Nick Franzen is an industrial refrigeration installer. Running a hybrid Mitsubishi Outlander on the Landsail 225 55 18 102W LS588 SUV he`s on 155,747 miles. He`ll be coming back after 3,000 miles for a measure up to see how much tread he`s used.

Proud mum and mid wife with the NHS Danielle has chosen Landsail Tyres for the front of her Skoda.
It`s on 68,663 miles at the moment.

Neil Smith of NS Properties popped in today with his daughters car for a pair of Landsails on the front. The Merc is on 77,639 miles at the mo. Lets`s see how much tread is used after 3,000 miles.

Treadwise tyres have been fitting tyres in Hereford for over 17 years and I've formed quite a large customer base. I'm always keen to listen to my customers remarks and experiences as it helps me to provide better service and keep a strong reputation.

Quite a while ago one of my customers had some extra load tyres fitted to a VW Transporter. These vans would normally use commercial grade tyres but they didn't make a commercial grade for the 18 inch alloy wheels with the profile required. Well his current extra load tyres had cracked on the inside and needed replacing. I tried some Landsail tyres.

In my experience they were the most robust tyre around the budget price range so we decided to give them a go. Apart from the attributes you would generally observe on the tyres label being in the B range the tyre has been designed with longevity in mind. Also another trait which isn`t mentioned on the tyres label is that this tyre is very good at dealing with torque. I`m quite happy fitting these to the big BMW`s, Mercedes and Audi`s for example. Also, large campers with their torquey diesel engines and upgraded alloy wheels.

Always a pleasure to fit and balance Landsail tyre's and it is the only tyre on our shelves here at Treadwise. However, if you do have a favourite, I`m always happy to quote for other brands.

We`re doing some mileage tests to see what we`re getting out of a range of customer vehicles. I know the Landsails go on for ever but we`ll be having some of our customers vehicles back on 3,000 mile intervals for a measure up to see how much tread they`ve used so we`ll be publishing the results!!!!
