Yesterday at Wartime in the Vale at Ashdown WWII Camp I had the pleasure of handing this Mk2 back to new owner Nick. Previously owned by his friend Charles.

They brought the bike into me around a month ago as a "not running right". But we were unsuccessful in getting it to start when they delivered it off the trailer.

I identified a few initial faults and later discovered a few more when I delved deeper. After an initial 'plug and play' with parts, I was able to get it to start, but it didn't run well. Mainly due to a worn carb needle and missing needle jet.

They also asked if I could replace and fit a few parts such as a replacement petrol tank, mirrors, swap pannier baskets for pannier boxes and fit a Belgium 'tea tray' rack.

Once all repaired, replaced and not leaking oil. I was able to hand the bike back over to them.

A handful of jobs completed over the weekend.

● Engine parts boxed up for posting. To assist with the engine being rebuilt at present. Reported to be going well, which is reasuring to hear 🤞
● Found a spare headlamp bolt and exhaust bobbin. To replace the missing ones on the 'poor running' bike.
● Clutch cover refitted on the 'poor running' bike.
● Wheel bearings fitted to 4 wheels.
● Two tyres fitted by the garage.
