WANTED – BMW E30 CONVERTIBLE

Here at RFH Classics we are currently looking to purchase on behalf of one of long term customers a good quality BMW E30 Convertible.

Ideally we are looking for a 6 cylinder example, although the right 4 cylinder car will be considered. We are looking for a good, well cared for example with supporting history. Sorry but no restoration projects or cars requiring major work.

Available now at RFH Classics we have this beautifully presented and very special 1991 Mini 1380 Cooper S Replica finished in stunning Tartan Red with a contrasting Black roof. This is a car that has been extensively restored and developed into a seriously impressive fast-road Mini, and there’s rather more to this one than meets the eye.

Mechanically is where this Mini becomes particularly interesting. The car features an A-Series engine with twin SU carburettors, modified 12G940 cylinder head, fast-road camshaft, performance exhaust and upgraded ignition and cooling, together with a rebuilt gearbox and uprated braking and suspension making this a Mini that has clearly been built to offer considerably more than just the looks.

The restoration and development were the subject of a substantial feature in the February 2019 edition of MiniWorld magazine, documenting the build, specification and specialists involved in creating the car you see today.

Sitting perfectly on 10-inch JBW Dunlop D1-style alloys with Yokohama tyres, its Mk1-style grille, auxiliary driving lamps, stainless brightwork and leather bonnet straps give it exactly the purposeful sporting appearance a classic Mini deserves.
