If your VXR is running rough and can’t figure it out why?

There’s multiple reasons why this could be happening, it will throw up many codes which seem misleading.

This VXR’s vacuum hoses blew off the Vacuum block, which caused the engine to run rough and rev itself up trying to keep itself alive.

We changed out the pipes and added some clips to prevent them blowing off in the future.

If you have a boost leak, vacuum leak, or a weird noise which you turn up the radio so you can’t hear it.

We’ve been Busy!

We had one customer with his vxr which intermittently lost power and then cut out.

So with Vauxhalls if it had a faulty crankshaft sensor it is likely to send out a couple of faults. We hooked up the diagnostic to confirm the fault!

With the new part replaced the car runs better than before and now it won’t cut out by itself.

(For all other fault codes it has aftermarket parts installed)

We had this customer contact us asking if we could give his cream leather seats a new life! We throughly cleaned and buffed these seats and restored them back to their former glory! The pictures really don’t do it justice.
Whilst we was there the customer asked if we was able to fit a splitter he had for the car as the other one had broken.

Tonight was a busy one! We replaced the timing chain tensioner on this 1.8 Audi A4 as it was leaking oil through the solenoid! This can happen but this Audi has covered 180,000 miles so it was due for a replacement.
These can cause a fault code if they fail commonly known as Advanced inlet which will cause a rough idle.
Both gaskets was changed whilst it was out like the crescent gasket which eventually becomes hardened and allows oil to seep out.

This weekend we were busy at work!

A customer came to me asking if it woukd be possible to do an oil pump outside a friends house as the car wasn’t safe to drive.

After a few hours working through the cold and wet, the pump was in, the sump sealed and of course an oil filter and oil change to top it off.

The customer was very pleased to get back on the road again!

This customer came to me with a list of work to be done on his car after it failed MOT.

We got straight to work so he can meet the 10 day MOT grace period.

This car wasn’t asking for much😅but the owner had to get it done as it’s their pride and joy.
