Booking your driving test? Make sure you’re doing it the right way. ✅

Since 12 May, it has been against the law for anyone but the learner driver to book a driving test. Using unofficial apps, bots or automated tools also breaks the terms and conditions of our booking service.

We've already cancelled 450 tests where tests have been booked outside the new rules – and we're continuing to monitor activity closely. 💪

If misuse of the booking system is identified, we can cancel your booking and suspend your ability to manage your test online.

Our priority is to make the system fair for every learner and to stop you being exploited by third parties. The only way to book and manage a test is through GOV.UK. 💻

Important information as from today!

Important information from the DVSA. If using the Camborne test centre . As from the 9th June, the other two test centres will be Penzance and Bodmin only.

So if learning now during the summer months, then moving to any Uni , but have given an example below. Let me break this down for you.

Have been doing lessons in and around Camborne, have booked for Camborne. Then you move to Plymouth for Uni to carry on your lessons in Plymouth. Plymouth test centre hasn’t been put in the list to swap a test in the same group.
If you’re wanting Plymouth as the test centre the booking of Camborne would have to be cancelled and then rebooked for Plymouth .

More changes to driving test bookings are coming 🚘

From 9 June, you’ll only be able to change your test booking to the 3 nearest test centres.

🚨 IMPORTANT UPDATE FOR LEARNER DRIVERS 🚨

From 9th June, new DVSA rules mean that if you book a driving test, you will only be able to move it to:

✅ One of the 3 nearest test centres to where your test is currently booked
✅ The original test centre on that booking

This means the days of booking a test anywhere in the country and then moving it to a completely different area are coming to an end.

If you’ve got a test booked at a centre you don’t actually intend to use, now is the time to sort it out. Cancelling unwanted bookings will also help free up test slots for other learners who are struggling to find a test.

This is what we have to deal with ! This is why we have back logs in starting a pupil or if a pupil was unlucky in their test they are then still with us !
