This was a fun one today…… one of those ‘quick’ jobs that resulted in this brake carrier bolt coming out in 3 pieces after hours of swearing, drilling, welding and hitting it with various hammers!!! We got there in the end but boy did she put up a fight!!!

Another fun week done and dusted at OIL Autos! Little flexi replacement on a discovery should keep the exhaust gases headed in the right direction! Some sill repairs on a focus to get her through an MOT. Leak off testing on a transit to narrow down a dodgy injector. Worlds lowest Passat back with no boost. After another garage charged a whopping £350 to fit a £20 aftermarket solenoid that didn’t work we replaced the 5a fuse that had blown and hey presto she’s boosting again 🙈. Some maintenance on the old yellow peril to keep the weather out and catastrophic failure on this Vauxhall (check out the Bluetooth camshaft)

All happening this week! Audi Q7 in for injector seals, ball joints on a Qashqai, rocker covers galore and plenty of servicing in between!

New brakes for the Subaru so she’s not scraping now! Another Peugeot wet belt, this one needed some bolts drilling and holes tapping in the sump as we found a few bolt head glued into place!! One very unfortunate focus with a nice big crack in the liner…. Unfortunately not too uncommon with the 1.6 and 1.5 eco boost engines!
Oh and we managed to do a proper job on the little runaround fiesta gearbox the other day attempting a big old burnout…. She didn’t like it much 😂😂🙈🙈

Back at it after the break with a couple of weapons in the workshop. Although not a complete break…. We did manage to do a set of springs on a neighbouring camper’s Volvo 😂😂

Timing belt and water pump on this Kuga today, then off to our favourite Range Rover to change what was left of the anti roll bar link!

And of course Rex had to help by standing under my feet during the entire process 😂😂🐶
