Concours of Elegance at Hampton Court Palace – Complimentary Ticket Competition!

Once again we are very much looking forward to exhibiting at the Concours of Elegance, taking place at Hampton Court Palace this coming weekend. Always a sublime three days, surrounded by truly remarkable cars in a wonderful setting. The 100 cars they attract for the Concours, from around the globe, are always spectacular and provide a ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity to appreciate such exceptional cars, in the metal. All in a welcoming and relaxed environment against the stunning backdrop of the landscaped gardens, enjoyed by King Henry VIII.

We are delighted a pair of complimentary entrance tickets, for each of the three days. If you would like to ‘be in hat’ to receive the tickets, simply comment below with your name and tag a friend you'd like to take with you!

Our blind draw will take place at 5pm on Thursday 3rd September, with the winners being notified that day and E-tickets, to gain entry on the day, issued by email.

Throwback Thursday - A look back at a refurbishment case study on a 1983 Aston Martin V8 Volante our Service & Aftercare Team worked on throughout 2024.

The car was bought by an enthusiast, new to us, a quite visionary client who had watched our V8 Saloon video and liked the idea of a convertible given the same treatment. The commission was to extensively refurbish the Volante, discretely upgrading it under the skin.

The process took nine months. I think you will agree the result is a tastefully upgraded and improved V8 Volante, fit to give future owners another 40 years of driving satisfaction.

Once exterior and interior work was finished and the car given a thorough mechanical and electrical overhaul, road testing and final detailing, it was presented to its delighted owner last month, November 2024. Incidentally, as a very expensive car when new, it’s one of only 134 Weber carburettor RHD V8 Volantes built from 1979 to 1985.

The entire process of deciding on which upgrades to incorporate, and exactly how best to achieve the client’s wishes is an immensely satisfying one. It’s been very much a team effort, with all of us discussing every step with the owner of the car.

1979 Aston Martin V8 Vantage

We are delighted to now bring to market, for only the 3rd time in 47 years, this superb, highly original and prized example of the ‘Oscar India’ V8 Vantage. Finished in special order Ferrari Blu Ribot with Magnolia hide interior, piped dark Blue.

This exceptional and uniquely coloured example has been meticulously maintained by Aston Martin in Newport Pagnell and recognised AM specialists throughout its life. Originally specified with a 5-speed manual transmission, as fitted, this example is 1 of just 44 built with the original Vantage 540 engine specifications and prior to the fitting of standard V8 saloon cylinder heads, thereafter. With exception to a suspension upgrade and factory sports exhaust system, both fitted in period, this unspoilt and superbly original AM V8 Vantage, is one of the finest and most pleasing to drive examples, that we know of.

During the care of its last, Aston Martin enthusiast owner, much dedication has been applied with a series of sympathetic cosmetic improvement works, including a full body respray in original Ferrari Blu Ribot paint, full body PPF coverage with ceramic coating, new front footwell overmats, new tailored headrest cushions, professional interior refurbishment, of the original hides, by Connolly appointed experts and new Pirelli Cinturato tyres. Finally, a Blaupunkt Bremen head unit, with DAB and Bluetooth compatibility, along with upgraded amplifier and replacement speakers, have been fitted. The condition of this motor car is now simply described as ‘Concours’.

Accompanied with an exceptional history folder, containing the cars original build details, completed original service voucher book, original owner’s handbook, all service and maintenance invoices, factory correspondence, previous sales invoices, all past MoT certificates and all previous registration papers.

1990 Aston Martin V8 Vantage Zagato – Reactivated

A superb once in a lifetime opportunity, for investors in collectors cars, drivers and enthusiasts of ‘80’s’ supercars, to acquire a rare ( 1 of 50 ) V8 Vantage Zagato, in an ‘as new’ condition

Finished in original Zagato colour Gladiator Red with Parchment Connolly hides.

Effectively as new having covered just 600 miles. Has been preserved in ideal and climate controlled professional storage from new and until very recently, has now been extensively re-commissioned and fully prepared in our heritage workshops, with the completed re-commissioning works, carried out to original standards and without consideration to costs.

Reactivated, on the button and ready to be fully enjoyed on the open road, or at any concours event. This rare and exciting ultra-low mileage V8 Vantage Zagato, re-commissioned and carefully ‘run in’, de-bugged and fitted with a sports exhaust and upgraded suspension, new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres on new Aston Martin supplied Ronal pattern 16’’wheels, is now fully reactivated. With the entire car and all systems inspected, checked and updated where necessary, the car is now in an ‘as new’ condition, after its long-term sleep.

This exceptional and fully recommissioned example of the V8 Vantage Zagato, is supplied inclusive of our own 12 month warranty and complimentary first service, to be carried out within 1,500 miles or 6 months, whichever is the sooner.

A full workshop inspection report and detailed description of the cars condition, before and after completion of the re-commissioning works, is available upon request.
