Hi,
Good News :
I will be back to giving driving lessons from Monday 6th July. I am really looking looking forward to seeing you all again and welcoming new pupils.
Please text or call me now to get your lesson booked in.
As we all need to keep safe there are strict measures Driving Instructors have been told to put in place - they are updated regularly and for now are as follows:
Prior to every lesson I will thoroughly clean the key surfaces of the car inside and out including door handles, window & mirror controls, seats, seat belts, gear leaver, steering wheel, indicators & wiper stalks, car keys, etc.
Throughout the day I will be thoroughly washing my hands and using hand sanitizer.
I will be wearing a mask and ask you to wear one too. The use of gloves will be your choice. I will expect you to put your mask (and gloves) on just prior to getting into the car.
Unless it is raining the windows will be down so dress appropriately for the weather and to keep safe.
It will be you and me in the car - no passngers.
On the day of your lesson I will contact you to see if you have had any of the COVID 19 symptoms within the last 7 days or, been in contact with someone who has within the last 14 days. If you have, I will have to cancel and re-book your lesson in order to keep everyone safe.
I will text you when I am outside your home - I will ask you to thoroughly wash your hands and bring your mask and hand sanitizer with you. I will not come to the door - I will be by or inside the car.
Before you get in the car I am instructed to visually check to see if you have symptoms. If you do seem to be displaying them I will cancel the lesson to ensure everyone stays safe.
If I have to touch any controls or give a demonstration during the lesson I will wipe the area down as soon as finished.
When your lesson has ended you are advised to wash your hands again.
These instructions are to keep you, other pupils and myself safe and virus free.
If you are a new pupil you will need to get a code so I can check you driving licence electronically before you get in the car. To get this you will need to visit www.gov.uk/view-driving-licence. Follow the instructions and you will be provided with a code that is valid for 21 days and can be used only once (by me on the day). I will ask to see you licence and you will read to me the last 8 characters of your licence (point 5) and read me your code as I will not be taking the licence from you. I will enter this on the www.gov.uk/check-driving-information to get the check.
Looking forward to hearing and seeing you all soon.
Noel
