🚨 Why Old Tyres Can Be Dangerous! 🚨

Check out this video — this is what can happen when a tyre ages out. Even if a tyre looks fine on the outside, rubber breaks down over time. Heat, sunlight, and general wear all cause the structure to weaken, and once a tyre passes around 6 years old, it can become unsafe — even if it’s never been used.

That’s why at Victoria Tyre Centre, we:
✅ Don’t sell second-hand or part-worn tyres
✅ Won’t fit customer-supplied tyres that are more than 6 years old

Your safety is our priority. 💪 Old tyres can fail without warning — sometimes with explosive results — so always check the manufacturing date (the four-digit DOT code on the sidewall).

Stay safe, and if you’re unsure about your tyres’ age, pop in and we’ll check them for you! 🛞🔧

🚨 *Pedal Power from Palace to Palace!* 🚨

This September, our very own Mark from Victoria Tyres and his brother-in-law Bill are swapping wheels for pedals and taking on an epic ride — cycling from Crystal Palace to the Palace of Versailles over 3 days! 🚴

They’re doing it to raise money for the brilliant team at St Christopher’s Hospice, and every bit of support helps keep them rolling in the right direction.

If you’d like to get behind them, please donate via their fundraising page:

https://fundraising.stchristophers.org.uk/fundraisers/billyyeldingyahoocouk/palace-to-palace

Let’s pump up the support from Hastings and beyond — it’s time to gear up for a great cause! 🛞

Every penny helps, and your kindness will keep them spinning!
