Starting them young at Baker Motors!

Meet Royce! Our son he’s 8 and our youngest member of the Baker Motors team… although I’m not sure he’s officially on the payroll yet! 😂

During the summer holidays, Royce loves coming into the garage with me, getting his overalls on and learning how things work.

This time he’s been getting stuck into an engine rebuild of Ryan Read Mini asking plenty of questions, passing tools and, as you can see, taking his inspection duties very seriously! 🔧😂

Running a local independent garage is about more than just fixing cars. For me, it’s also about being able to share what I do with my son and hopefully pass on some of the knowledge, skills and passion that go into the trade.

Who knows… maybe we’re looking at the next generation of Baker Motors. 👨‍🔧

Although at this rate, I might have some competition for my job sooner than expected! He’s insanely knowledgeable when it comes to mechanic’s blows our minds!
