Job Title: Mechanic / MOT Tester

Salary: £32,000 - £40,000

Location: Harwich

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled and knowledgeable mechanic to join our team at an independent garage based in Harwich. You will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing a wide variety of

vehicles, ensuring that every job is completed to the highest standard. Whether it’s routine

maintenance, mechanical repairs, or MOT preparation, you will play a vital role in keeping vehicles on the road and our customers happy. If you’re passionate about cars, this is the perfect role to take your career to the next level.

Working Hours

● Monday to Friday

● 8:00 am - 5:30 pm

Key Duties

● Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on a variety of vehicles

● Carry out routine maintenance and servicing

● Ensure vehicles meet roadworthy standards and prepare vehicles for MOT tests

● Conduct and perform MOTs (if applicable)

● Provide expert advice on repairs and maintenance to customers

● Keep up to date with technical developments and best practices in vehicle maintenance

Key Requirements

● Proven experience as a mechanic

● A strong understanding of vehicle diagnostics and repair techniques

● MOT License (preferred but not essential)

● NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification

● Full UK driving licence
