🔧 It’s not always the big jobs! 🚗

A nice, straightforward little job in the workshop today!

This Citroën came in with a broken radio control stalk behind the steering wheel. 🎵

Old one out, new one fitted, and everything back working as it should! ✅

Sometimes it’s the little things that make all the difference. Nobody wants to be reaching across the dashboard every time they fancy changing the song! 😂

VW Campervan Electrics ⚡️🚐

This VW campervan came into us with a bit of a problem… a load of the wiring had been cut out and disconnected. 😬

So it was a case of working through the electrical system, identifying what went where, repairing and reconnecting the wiring and testing everything as we went.

It came in not working and went back out fully working. ✅

Another electrical fault sorted at Dakota Systems Ltd.

This one was a bit of a surprise! 👀

This old Astra came in with the turbo not performing as it should.

After carrying out some diagnostics, we traced the problem to an open circuit on the MAP/boost pressure sensor circuit — leaving the ECU without the pressure information it needs to control the engine and boost correctly.

Fault diagnosed and sorted. ✅

We then decided to see what this little Astra would be like with a Stage 1 performance remap…

What a difference! 🚗💨

It genuinely feels like a different car.

At Dakota Systems we don’t just offer remapping — we can diagnose electrical and performance issues too.

Another training day today 👨‍🔧⚡️

This time down in Coventry at the Delphi Academy, brushing up on the latest in vehicle electrics and electrical fault diagnosis.

Vehicle technology is moving quickly, so we’re continuing to invest in training and equipment to make sure we can diagnose faults properly and keep up with the latest systems.

Back to Dakota tomorrow to put it all into practice! 🔧⚡️

🙌 Hands up for the worst Facebook photo takers…

Yep, that’s us. 😂

Never mind, we’re better at fixing cars than remembering to photograph them.

Today we had a Ford Focus in for a service, along with a couple of fault-finding missions.

And because we know you’re all desperate for some quality automotive content, here’s today’s exciting photo…

An alternator on a Hyundai ix35. 🤩

Absolutely riveting stuff. Well done us. 😂

Anyway, if your car needs a service, has a fault you can’t get to the bottom of, or just isn’t behaving itself, drop Dakota Systems a message or pop in and see us.

We might even remember to take a photo of it. 📸😂
