2022 BMW 330D

We had this lovely BMW in for a major service which included oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, pollen filter and brake fluid change.

We did have some new tooling to play around with and I’m happy to say we’re now able to add your service records onto BMW I-Drive systems. We will always offer an invoice so you maintain a paper record for peace of mind but this allows for ease and allows for easier checking of what’s required on servicing.

1993 VW transporter T4 (westfalia)

After talks with the owner we’ve been given the job of bringing this old girl back to her glory and modernising in ways. Shes remarkably clean and well looked after.

Customer mentioned that the central locking is playing up, sliding door doesn’t close properly and leaking water in.

We’ve replaced the upper door roller as it was missing, replaced the lower roller cause the wheels had squared off causing the door to drag rather than smoothly open and found the upper door seal to be torn so we fitted a replacement seal.

We couldn’t necessarily find an issue with the central locking, we stripped and cleaned the door mechanism but we believe the issue lies within the door module but we cleaned the contacts on the connector as they had a bit of corrosion on the pins and the issue hasn’t reoccurred since having the vehicle with ourselves.

I’m honoured to have this bus in with us and love a project I can really get stuck in to!

We had both of these Jeep renegades in for routine servicing.

We carried out and oil and filter service on both vehicles and a health check on both (steering, suspension, brakes and diagnostics). We also had to replace the oil cap on one as it had been misplaced by the owner.

2019 Skoda Octavia

We recently had this skoda in for a rumbling noise on the front end, despite it being very hard to diagnose as was only present at speed we found the fault to be the NSF wheel bearing was failing.

Customer opted to replace both front bearings, not necessarily required but if it’s what the customer wants, it’s what we’ll do!

Both bearings replaced, road tested and no more noises!

2020 Hyundai Tucson – Clutch Replacement

This Tucson came into the workshop with a slipping clutch, a tell-tale sign that the clutch has reached the end of its service life.

After removing the gearbox, the old clutch was clearly well worn and ready for replacement. A new clutch kit was fitted (dealer only part), fresh gearbox oil and fresh clutch fluid.

We carried out an extensive road test to ensure biting point was fine, all gears engaged fine and to ensure there was no unwanted noises.

3.0TDV6 Range Rover sport

Anyone that knows me knows I’m not a fan of anything JLR but these just tick the box. What a stunning vehicle!

We had this RR sport in for a full service and rear brake pad replacement.

Oil and filter changed, both air filters replaced, all fluids checked and topped up where necessary and rear brake pads and wear sensor replaced.

Battery Warning Light On? Don’t Ignore It!

We had this Volkswagen Tiguan 2.0 TSI with the battery warning light illuminated, having had it checked by her breakdown service they reported the alternator wasn’t charging the battery.

- Faulty alternator removed and replaced
- Charging system tested and operating correctly

If your battery warning light comes on it’s not always the battery that’s at fault. A failing alternator can leave you stranded with little warning so it’s best to get it checked as soon as possible.

Don’t Ignore Worn Brakes!

This Peugeot 2008 came into the workshop with a serious rear braking issue.

The rear brake pads had worn right down to the metal backing plate due to a seized brake caliper causing excessive wear on the brake disc and reducing braking performance.

- New rear brake discs
- New brake pads
- Replacement brake caliper

Once the brakes had been sorted the vehicle was presented for MOT and passed perfectly fine with no issues.

BMW X5

This was one of those jobs I had in my head was going to be a major headache because if anyone knows BMW rear driveshafts know they do not like coming out the hubs. Luckily for us we had a boot full of parts!

We replaced;
- rear hubs
- rear driveshafts
- rear wheel bearings
- NSF control arm

Rear driveshaft outer CV’s had failed big style and the customer knew it was a headache to pull the shafts so went out and bought everything I’d need to do this job with minimal downtime.
