We hope you're all having a fab summer! ☀️

We're mega busy as always, and here's just a few of the vehicles we've had through the workshop today:

🔧 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution (final edition) with 2000 miles on it!! 🤯– In for diagnostics after going into restricted mode. We found the ceramic on cylinder 4's spark plug had broken, so we replaced the full set of spark plugs.

🔧 Mercedes-Benz A45– In for its routine service to keep it running at its best.

🔧 Land Rover Discovery– Came in with restricted mode caused by a broken EGR pipe. We're replacing the faulty pipe to get it back on the road.

🔧 Audi A1– In for a general health check and inspection.

🔧 Jaguar XF– Recovered to us after breaking down with a high engine temperature. We've diagnosed a failed oil cooler, which caused coolant to mix with the engine oil, and we're replacing it and carrying out a coolant flush. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼 for the customer!

No two days are ever the same in the workshop! 🚗💨

Happy Friday and bank holiday weekend! 🎉

It’s been a while since our last post, so thought we’d better show everyone we’re still here before the year disappears 😂

We’re still busy with timing chains! This week we’ve had the new 3 litre straight-six Ingenium Range Rover in for timing chains after suffering the same camshaft correlation issues as the 2 litre engines.

We’ve also had a Disco 5 3 litre Ingenium in with coolant loss, misfiring and knocking — after investigation we found the charge cooler had burst internally, meaning the engine was running on coolant… definitely not good! 😬

The Ford Ranger is in for an oil service and gearbox oil change from one of our long-term customers ☺️

And finally, a thumbs up from our tech James before he heads off on his jollies next week! ☀️😎
