It was a day off 1st’s as Molly Philip, Passed her Driving Test yesterday … Tuesday, 5th May 2026 … at Hamilton Test Centre. It was an excellent drive, including 4 Driving Faults … and all achieved at her 1st attempt. 😁✅🚙

Molly was particularly nervous, on her Manoeuvres, and half of the above Driving Faults, related to her driving in to a Bay … but you did so well, remaining calm, to correct your position. 😊🅿️

The other 1st, was Molly being the first person in her family … following her father, mother and 2 big brothers, to sit their Driving Tests … and Pass at the 1st attempt. It is possible, that Reece and Luke, may be reminded of this, for the rest of their lives. 😂😂

“Congratulations” again, on an excellent achievement … and wishing you many happy hours of continued safe driving, your Fiat 500. 🚙 Maybe pass on your driving skills, to your big brothers. lol. 😂😂

The date … Monday, 23rd March 2026 …
Emma Speight arrives at East Kilbride Driving Test Centre, ready to sit her 1st Driving Test.

The time … 12:40 …. awaiting the arrival of the Examiner, at John Wright Sports Centre. Emma says Iain … “look at my hand” … it is truly, trembling. “I am feeling so nervous” … to confirm the hand tremor.

12:48 … The Examiner arrives … He is quietly advised, of Emma being nervous.

Later … approximately 1:25 p.m. … Emma parks the car … and is advised, she has Passed, with an excellent drive, containing only 2 Minor Driving Faults. Tears of joy, followed immediately. 🥲 From Emma that was. lol.

A word to the Examiner, who helped keep Emma calmer, during her Driving Test drive. That definitely helped. 😀

Finally, to Emma herself. It was a pleasure teaching you to drive … and … delighted, you have passed at your 1st attempt. That is a wonderful achievement. Wishing you many happy hours, as a new phase of your life unfolds, with this added independence, of driving around in your DS3.

I hope the DVLA, can keep that Personalised Registration Plate, set aside for you, in 5 years time. SP31 GHT, would be perfect for you.

It is Thursday, 5th March. The time has arrived for Sophie McMahon, to drive back to Hamilton Test Centre.

A different year … A different result … with Passing at her 2nd attempt … 9 Driving Faults accumulated, tripled Sophie’s first Driving Test … and most importantly of all No Majors. 😁✅😁✅

It would be safe to say, that Sophie was not expecting that confirmation from the Examiner … as there was this surprised look on her face … maybe even a slightly shocked look. Your Pass had been achieved.

Sections of your Driving Test route, can even be used, as you drive about in your car … not many people have their 2nd car, so soon after purchasing their first. lol. Your Dad did well, helping you change the first car … and … your Mum helping you with extra driving time, as well.

Wishing you so many happy hours, driving up to see your beloved horse. 🐎😊

On Wednesday, 4th March, Nathan Farrell returned to Hamilton Test Centre, for his 2nd Driving Test, after the disappointment experienced, at the beginning of February.
On this occasion, disappointment, was replaced with joy, as the Examiner gave very good feedback on Nathan’s driving, whilst Passing with 3 Minor Driving Faults. 😁✅🚙

That was the same number, as in the previous month … and … with some further practice on Roundabouts, and Nathan continuing his determination to constantly improve his driving skills … and … keeping me on my toes, with regular requests on where we were going approaching the next Junction, Roundabout, or Traffic Lights … on some occasions, even wishing to check the street name. 😅

Will your preferred mode of transport, now be your bike, or by car ??? 🤔 … 🚲 … 🤔 … 🚙 … 🤔. Maybe not quite the same satisfaction, reaching the peak of a Tour de France summit, in a vehicle. 😊

Have a lot of catching up to do, on recent successes. Best to do, in Calendar order. 📅

No photo, of this gentleman, who Passed on Friday, 27th February. Jamie Byers, was the young man in question … thankfully, his Mum mentioned, how nervous he was feeling, when picking Jamie up.

Those nerves, were kept in check … you did so well, managing that … and at the end of the Test, at Hamilton Driving Test Centre … the Examiner confirmed Jamie had Passed with only 4 Driving Faults. A 1st time Pass … An excellent achievement. 😁🚙✅ It was such a good drive, throughout.

To be honest, I will miss the chats more … than getting in and out of your driveway. lol. 😂

Wishing you many enjoyable hours of driving ahead. Maybe, pass you out on the roads, or on the golf course. ⛳️ Either, will be a pleasure.

Time to belatedly confirm, that on the 5th February 2026, Ewan Honnet appeared at Hamilton Test Centre, for his 1st experience of the Practical Driving Test.
It would be safe to say, the pre-Driving Test driving, had not gone to quite to plan. 🫣🫣🫣 I remember looking over at Ewan, who normally looked calm, composed and confident … and … there was his expression of staring at the road ahead, with a tense and anxious expression on his face.
It was time, to stop the car, at a safe and convenient place … and have a chat.
Approximately 1 hour later, the Examiner confirmed, Ewan had Passed, with a very good drive … consisting of only 3 Minor Driving Faults.
It was an excellent demonstration, of determination and character, to correct the mistakes, from the initial period of driving. That was very impressive.
Wishing You, such an enjoyable time driving. Maybe, even to Uni. to avoid Train & Underground forms of transport. lol. 😂
The smile below … that is the facial expression, I was more used to seeing. 😊🚙😊

16/01/2026

The first Driving Test of 2026, was Sarah Norton at Hamilton Test Centre, on 8th January … and she started this year in fine fashion, with a 1st time Pass, consisting of 7 Minors. 🚙😀✅
From Sarah’s 1st Lesson, to her last, you were fun and upbeat, and great company.
Wishing You lots of trips, driving in your Fiat 500 … and hopefully … You will have a bit more time, for such a busy young lady, combining Uni. and work.
So pleased for You. “Congratulations” again. 😁
Your Papa, will be so proud, when you told him, you had Passed.

It was a wonderful finish to the end of 2025, when on the 30th December, at Hamilton Test Centre, James Wedlock Passed at his 1st attempt. Queue Drumroll and fanfare. 🥁 🎺 …. 🎺 🥁 … with only 1 Minor Driving Fault.
Nothing like a musician, to perform at their best, when the stage is at its biggest. lol. 🥁😊
Wishing you such enjoyment, driving on your own. Katie and yourself, possibly sharing driving trips now. 😊🤷🏼😊
You saved your best driving, ‘til last. One Driving Fault, is truly excellent. 😀

🤷🏼 Maybe the Final Facebook story of 2025. 🤷🏼
On the 16th December, Robbie Po***ck, returned to Hamilton Test Centre, and the disappointment from August was wiped away in an instant, when the Examiner confirmed Robbie had Passed, with an excellent drive, only containing 3 Minor Driving Faults.
It was great to see Robbie, achieve his success at the 2nd attempt … avoiding the all-important Major Fault, this time around. All of your driving promise and potential, fulfilled.
Robbie is already out and about, picking up his big brother and his friends. That time has arrived, to return the favours, of Mum, Dad and Jack driving you to the required destination. 😂
Wishing you a wonderful, enjoyable time, driving on your own. Might see you, behind the wheel of the red Corsa soon. 🚗 … 😁.

On Thursday, 27th November, Abby Railton arrived at Hamilton Test Centre … after driving off through those temporary Traffic Lights, outside the Test Centre … 🚦 … returned with only 3 Driving Faults and a superb, 1st time Pass.
A shy and satisfied smile, in acknowledgment of the Examiners confirmation, spread across her face. 😊
During Lessons, we had some good chats … some impressive use of the English language … and of most importance, quietly and slowly watching Abby’s confidence developing, in her own driving skills. If I was to remisce, and I did not remind You, of how good a driver You are, I apologise profusely. lol. 😂😂
Maybe your Mum, will finally permit a greyhound, to join the family. HaHa. You really should have brought one back from Almeria, in August. lol. 😂
My final words, to you … You are a most capable young woman. Thursday was a reminder for you, of what you can achieve. 😀 You were exceptional.
Not mentioning, that other word, commencing with “E”. lol. 😂
