2014 Mercedes sprinter lwb came in after failing its mot on parking brake efficiency, we stripped the rear brakes down and found the backing plates that hold the shoes in corroded and the shoe mounting pin had pulled through it, new backing plates shoes and discs and pads fitted and it now has a full 12 months mot on

2019 Citroen berlingo 1.5 was towed in due to no start, we carried out diagnostics and found the timing belt had broken, these engines are very compacted into to the engine bay and have a lot of parts on them so we remove the engine to carry out the strip down, upon taking the camshaft module off we found the chain that runs the cams had broken too which is a very common part for failing on these engines, cylinder head was removed and we found all the inlet and exhaust valves bent, this was a very costly repair, lots of new parts later and all built back up again and it is running as good as new again

2018 Vauxhall corsa 1.2 came in for a misfire fault, we carried out diagnostics and found the timing had jumped a tooth, upon stripping it down we found 1 of the guides had broken, full new chain kit fitted and it was running as good as new again

2020 ford ranger 2.0 bi turbo was towed in due to cutting out while driving, we quickly diagnosed this as the timing wet belt failure, we set about stripping the engine down, up on inspection when the cam module was removed we could see that the valve stems were slightly off to one side so we removed the cylinder head, although this passed the cylinder leakage test over time the slightly bent valve stems would have caused problems so new valves were fitted so we know the job is 100% right when it leaves us, unfortunately this is a very costly repair and all because the timing wet belt wasn’t replaced, general maintenance is a must on all these newer vehicles

2014 golf was towed in due to no drive when selecting d on the auto box, after carrying out diagnostics we found the mechatronics unit to be at fault, these are a very expensive part to buy new so we remove them and send them away to be reconditioned which works out a fraction of the cost compared to a new unit and also comes with a lifetime warranty

2015 ford focus came in with the dreaded oil pressure light on, this 1 had unfortunately taken the turbo out with it, new wet belt kit, oil pump belt, reconditioned turbo, everything cleaned out and new oil and filter and it was running as good as new again

2013 Vauxhall Astra came in for a coolant leak, we carried out a coolant pressure test and found both the core plugs in the front of the engine block leaking, we had to remove quite a lot to gain access to these to be able to replace them, new core plugs fitted and no more leaks
