A HUGE congratulations to Eloise, who passed her driving test FIRST TIME today in Ipswich with just 5 driving faults! 👏

Now, if you’d seen Eloise shortly before her test, you might not have predicted this outcome… The nerves were definitely making an appearance, with plenty of jitters and a healthy dose of “I don’t think I can do this!”

But she got in that car, took a deep breath, trusted her training and absolutely SMASHED IT! 💪

And that’s what makes this pass extra special. Eloise has a habit of doubting herself, so hopefully today has given her a little reminder of something she should never forget:
She is capable of far more than she gives herself credit for.

The independence, freedom and opportunities that come with having that little pink licence are so well deserved. Enjoy every mile, Eloise — you’ve earned it! 🚗💨

🚗 Do you agree with the AA? 🤔

The AA has recently suggested that drivers who hold an automatic-only licence should be able to upgrade to a manual licence after completing just a one-hour training course.

As a driving instructor, I know that learning to drive a manual car is about much more than simply changing gears. It takes time to build clutch control, hill starts, moving off safely, and the confidence to deal with real-world traffic.

💬 What's your opinion?

👍 Yes – a one-hour course is enough for experienced automatic drivers.

😮 No – drivers should still have to prove they can drive a manual safely before getting a manual licence.
