🔧 Porsche Boxster – 3rd Year Service 🏎️

This smart Porsche Boxster came into us for its 3rd year service, and we carried out a thorough service to keep it running at its best.

The work included:

✅ Engine oil and oil filter replacement
✅ New air filter
✅ New pollen/cabin filter
✅ New auxiliary drive belt
✅ Brake fluid change
✅ Full checks carried out as part of the service

Keeping on top of regular servicing and maintenance is important, even when the vehicle is running perfectly, helping to keep everything in good working order and prevent potential problems further down the road.

🚗 Ford Ranger Repair Completed 🔧

This Ford Ranger came into us after overheating and losing all of its coolant. The driver had also noticed coolant visibly coming from the exhaust tailpipe, which was a clear sign that something wasn’t right.

After carrying out a full inspection and pressure testing the cooling system, we traced the fault to the Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler. The cooler had failed internally, allowing coolant to leak directly into the exhaust system.

We replaced the faulty EGR cooler, refilled and bled the cooling system, then ran the engine up to temperature and carried out all the necessary checks. Everything was operating exactly as it should, with no further coolant loss or leaks.

Vehicle now repaired and back on the road.

Today we say goodbye to Ruth as she begins her well-earned retirement, while also celebrating the milestone of 10 years working at Car Services.

It has been an absolute pleasure having Ruth as part of the team over the past decade. Her hard work and friendly nature have made a real difference, and she will be greatly missed by both colleagues and customers alike.

Thank you, Ruth, for everything you’ve done over the last 10 years. We wish you a long, happy, and relaxing retirement filled with good health, happiness, and plenty of new adventures.

All the very best for the future, Ruth – you’ve certainly earned it! 💐🎉

Last week we had Corvin with us for his school work experience, and he has been an absolute pleasure to have around.

Corvin has been a great help to the team, getting stuck into every task with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. He’s shown a willingness to learn, picked up new skills quickly, and hasn’t been afraid to get his hands dirty and give everything a go.

We hope he’s learnt plenty to help him in the future. We wish him all the very best for whatever path he chooses next and have no doubt he’ll do brilliantly.

It’s been a busy few weeks here with the warm weather, carrying out lots of air conditioning services! ☀️🚗

With temperatures like these, a properly working air conditioning system is exactly what you want to keep you comfortable on the road.

As part of our air conditioning service, we:
✅ Recover and remove the old refrigerant gas and oil
✅ Pressure test the system to check for leaks
✅ Vacuum the system before refilling it with fresh gas, new oil and leak detector dye
✅ Test the system thoroughly to ensure it’s performing at its best
✅ Check the cabin filter to make sure it’s clean, unobstructed and in good condition

We can service all petrol and diesel vehicles, as well as most hybrid and electric vehicles, using both R134a and R1234yf refrigerants.

🚐We recovered in this Renault Master with a loss of power steering, the battery warning light illuminated, and most noticeably, the auxiliary belt lying on the floor.
After carrying out our checks, we found that the alternator pulley had seized and eventually failed, causing the auxiliary belt to come off completely.

To rectify the issue, we replaced the alternator and fitted a new auxiliary belt. Following installation, we carried out all necessary checks to ensure everything was operating correctly, with the charging system working exactly as it should.
