⭐ A Legend Signs Off ⭐

After nearly 25 years at our car boot sale, Stephen McGinnis (Purdy) is hanging up the high-vis and calling time on the early mornings.

Anyone who’s ever met Stephen will know his quick wit, sharp humour, and legendary craic. Rain or shine, 6am starts and all, he’s been a constant face of the boot sale for a quarter of a century and it won’t be the same without him.

Every Sunday from 8am – 1pm (weather permitting), we host a large Car Boot Sale right here on site!

It’s the perfect chance to:

It's with heavy hearts we announce the loss of Kevin (Hawk) McGonigle, one of our staff members at the Car Bootsale

We want to express our condolences to his daughter Sophia , his mother Kathleen , his siblings Julie and Christopher, the wider family circle and his many friends .

As a mark of respect the tomorrow's Car Bootsale (11th May ) has been cancelled.

RIP Kevin you will be sorely missed

9th May 2025 loving father of Sophia beloved son of Kathleen and the late Joe, 12 Lough View, Greysteel, dear brother of Christopher and Julie, brother-in-law Mark and the late Lisa and a much loved uncle.

All are welcome to pay their respects at W J O'Brien & Son's Funeral Home, 110 Clooney Road, Eglinton, BT47 3PU on Saturday from 6.30- 8.30 pm. House then restricted to family and close friends only please.

Funeral from his home on Monday at 11.30 am for 12 o’ clock Requiem Mass in Star of The Sea Church, Faughanvale. Interment afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Family flowers only please.

Folks it's very unfortunate that we need to make a post like this.

However our car park has been used as a toilet on numerous occassions the last few months and the person has left it for someone else to clean. People run businesses from here pay rent, rates, create jobs and do not need to this.

For the avoidance of doubt this area is covered by CCTV.

This is the one and only time we will post this warning not to do this or we will have no option to take it further with the footage

The Vale Centre toilets are opned on Sunday mornings from 8am
