Full engine rebuild ✅
Head gasket was blown causing over heating and the car was consuming 2 litres of oil every 4000 miles.
As the 1.8-2.0 TFSI has a recall on the piston rings, this Audi was past the 50,000 miles limit for Audi to repair it, therefore it came in to us to be repaired.
When removing the pistons and changing the rings you could notice the size difference between the old and new rings.
At the same time all engine bearings, timing chains and full gasket kit was replaced.
Hence, no more issues with over heating and oil consumption.

Customers car in for cross over exhaust pipe repair.
As seen below one of the flexi pipes was split
Causing limp mode and a loud whining noise.
To replace the flexi cross over joints it’s a 11hour job as the gearbox has to be dropped.
Car repaired within 4hours saving the customer £££ of pounds

Just shows how important oil changes are

First job of the year..... Of course a timing chain on a BMW E91
Some one previously was doing some repairs on this engine and managed to put it back together half a tooth out on the timing
Customers first words were “ Jesus it’s so smooth now”
Sump pan had so much sealant on that the oil pick up was near enough fully blocked

New gaskets
New turbo
Upon draining the oil from The engine, 3 litres of coolant and one litre of oil was drained
The vehicle had a full service day before done in Halfords, I can still not get my head around how they didn’t notice anything😞

The old chain got to a point where it was scrapping through the rocker cover
After replacement the car runs much smoother and has restored its power
Also when assembling the engine back together removed the egr pipe to find half of it is blocked up
