BMW 3 Series 2014, 2.0 Diesel Engine
The vehicle was brought to Fast Engines as a non-runner. Following an initial diagnosis by our engineers, it was determined that Because of Oil Pump failure the Con Rod bearing was spine , necessitating the disassembly and reconditioning of the engine. Below is a summary of the work performed by our experts:
1. Engine Disassembly and Cleaning: The engine was disassembled to component level and cleaned using a high-pressure parts cleanser machine with abrasive chemicals to remove carbon deposits, debris, and coking.
2. Block Re-honing: The engine block was re-honed.
3. Pistons and Rings: Pistons and/or rings were replaced with new ones.
4. Connecting Rods: Connecting rods were re-honed.
5. Crankshaft: The crankshaft was polished and re-ground.
6. Bearings Replacement: Main and big-end bearings were replaced with new ones.
7. Cylinder Head: The cylinder head was stripped, checked for wear, cracks, and trueness, and pressure tested.
8. Valve Guides and Seats: Valve guides were inspected and replaced as necessary, and valve seats were re-cut.
9. Valves: New or re-faced valves were lapped into the cylinder head and vacuum tested.
10. Camshaft: The camshaft was checked for wear and re-polished as required.
11. Timing Chain/Belt Kit: A brand-new timing chain kit or timing belt kit was installed.
12. Gasket Replacement: A complete new head gasket set was installed.
13. Bottom/Conversion Set Replacement: A new bottom/conversion set, including front and rear crankshaft seals, was replaced.
14. Engine Reassembly: The engine was reassembled using new gaskets and seals.
15. Engine Service: Recommended engine oil and oil filter were replaced.
16. Antifreeze: Antifreeze was provided and filled.
The engine has been fully reconditioned to a high standard and is ready for use.
