Got a call on Tuesday from a valued customer that was broken down on Detling hill, I was there within 30 mins, got it moving and safely parked off the main road, little trip to Medway for parts and temp repairs at the roadside got it back to the yard without the need of a recovery .

Got the call late Friday that my customer was in a spot bother, main compressor pipes and fitting had split on the M23 en route to hickstead show ground, I collected all the new parts g Togo’s morning and travelled to site and repaired it, good to come home tomorrow 👌👍

Isle of Man, TT 2026, for the 2nd year I am helping to sponsor a very good friend, I’ve known Greg 30+ years, if anyone else would like to help out with the TT fund please get in touch and I can put you on to Greg, if you know your racing, you’ll know it’s not a cheap hobby, especially for the TT,

Good luck lads from me at Smr mechanical

Doing the extra work tonight to ensure this customer had zero downtime… collected it at 8am and took to my supplier to have a tacho calibration, left it with them and got the call at 4pm to say it was done, .. recollection and delivered back at 7.30 pm … sometimes it pays to put yourself out at times as I’m pretty sure my competitors don’t do this on a Saturday evening.. ps .. this was mot 29/29 as well … starting 2026 as I mean to go on.

New year, new customer, new issues ….. truck has been parked up for 3 weeks as Xmas shutdown, no air build up, big air leaks in cab under dash and floor plate ….. turns out the mice found a new home and a feast of plastic pipes …… new pipe work and fittings and it’s back on the road earning its coin 👌👍

Didn’t find mickey though 😉

As the year draws to a close I’d just like to thank all my customers for their support and business over the last year, roll on 2026 to make it bigger and better, big goals, big targets … dreams will come true ..

Had the pleasure of working on this old girl last week for mot, 2 bulbs, number plate lamp and an exhaust silencer and she passed her test with 0 advisories 27/27 for the year, most people would walk away at the age of this old truck but I won’t, I worked on these when my dad had a fleet of 20 of them in the 80’s when I was a schoolboy.. anyone struggling to find a company to look after your older truck, give me a call, I’ll always try for you 👌👍
