The strange rules regarding driving licences from other countries….

The UK does not exchange a driving licence from the US
The UK does exchange a driving licence from Canada, yet the test is broadly similar.
France exchanges both US and Canadian driving licences, but only from some US states/ some Canadian provinces.
The UK exchanges a driving licence from France, even though it may have been exchanged originally from the US.
