Our LAST car boot of the 2026 season! 🚗

We're changing things around for our final event of the year, so please don't turn up on Sunday and wonder where everybody is! 😂

After a fantastic season, there's time for ONE LAST CAR BOOT — and we'd love to make it a big one.

SELLERS — this is your last chance this year to clear out those cupboards, garages, sheds and spare rooms and turn all that stuff you no longer need into some extra cash.

Been saying all summer, “I really must do a car boot”?

Well... this is it. There isn't another one!

BUYERS — come and have one last rummage around the field. With sellers clearing out for the final time this season, who knows what bargains might be waiting for you?

*** REMEMBER THE LOST GLASSES? 👓 ***

A little while ago, we asked for your help after a seller accidentally sold a Smiggle backpack without realising that her daughter's glasses were still inside one of the pockets.

And you certainly helped — the post was shared far and wide, and we even heard from a lady who had bought a backpack matching the description.

Unfortunately, when she checked it, there were no glasses inside.

The seller then searched everywhere else she could think of... but still no glasses.

So, seemingly, not the happy ending we were hoping for.

Except it turns out there IS a happy ending!

The young lady who lost them is now looking forward to getting a brand new pair of glasses instead. 👓

So, in a funny sort of way, perhaps we're actually rather glad our search didn't succeed after all! 😂

We'd also like to say a big thank you to everyone who shared the original post and tried to help. It was lovely to see so many people willing to spread the word for someone they'd never even met.

We might not have found the glasses...
..but we reckon a brand new pair is a pretty good consolation prize! 😊

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, RICHARD! 🎂🎉

Today is the birthday of the man who created your favourite car boot!

Those of you who see Richard on a Sunday morning will know him as the man who always seems to be everywhere at once — full of energy, usually smiling, and doing everything he can to make sure the day runs smoothly.

But what you don't see is just how much work goes on behind the scenes.

Richard works tirelessly throughout the season to make every event the best it can be — preparing the field, watching the weather, organising, planning, sorting out the inevitable little problems and making sure everything is ready for sellers and buyers when those gates open.

And somehow, he still manages to do it all with a smile!

So today, we'd like to turn the tables and make him the centre of attention for once.

Happy Birthday, Richard!

We hope you have a fabulous day, a well-earned rest... and that, just for today, nobody asks you what the field is like, what time sellers can arrive, or whether it's going to rain at the next event! 😂

And just like that... we've reached the final car boot of the season!

It doesn't seem five minutes since we opened the gates for the first one, but this **SATURDAY** (yes, SATURDAY!) is your last chance to join us in 2026.

So, if you've been thinking about having a clear-out and turning those unwanted bits and pieces into cash, this is the one to do it!

And if you're a buyer, come along for one last Saturday morning rummage — you never know what you might find.

*** LET'S HELP HIM CELEBRATE EARLY THIS SUNDAY! *** 🎈

If you've been to our car boot, you'll probably recognise Richard — the man behind it all and the person responsible for creating the car boot that so many of you come back to time and time again.

So, with his birthday coming up on Tuesday, we thought we'd make Sunday's car boot a little bit special!

SELLERS — we need your help!

As well as wishing Richard a Happy Birthday when you see him, how about bringing along a few balloons, ribbons or birthday decorations and, once you're pitched up and ready to sell, decorating your car or stall?

It doesn't have to be much — just a little splash of birthday fun here and there around the field to help us create a special atmosphere and give Richard a birthday morning to remember. 🎉

And BUYERS, don't feel left out — if you see the birthday boy on Sunday, make sure you wish him a Happy Birthday too!

*** WE'RE BACK! ***

After last week's cancellation, we're very pleased to say that the field is dry, the weather's looking good and our car boot WILL BE OPEN this Sunday!

It's been a frustrating couple of weeks of watching forecasts, checking the field and keeping our fingers crossed, so it'll be lovely to get those gates open again.

SELLERS — no need to book, just turn up on the day.

BUYERS — come along and see what treasures you can find!

** DID YOU BUY A SMIGGLE BACKPACK FROM US? **

We need your help finding a lady and her daughter who bought a Smiggle backpack from one of our sellers at the car boot.

Unfortunately, after selling it, the seller realised that she hadn't completely emptied the pockets — and her daughter's glasses were still inside the backpack!

The backpack is black with multi-coloured pictures.

We're hoping the lady who bought it might see this and be able to help reunite the glasses with their owner.

If you bought the Smiggle backpack, please send us a private message.

And if you didn't buy it, you can still help — please share this post. The person we're looking for may not follow our page, but somebody who knows her might.

** WE’RE WATCHING THE WEATHER 👀 **

Once again, we're watching the weather for you!

At the moment, AccuWeather is forecasting just a little rain on Friday, so we're hopeful that the field will have plenty of time to dry out and be ready for Sunday's car boot.

As always, though, we'll be keeping a close eye on both the forecast and the condition of the field before making a final decision.

Follow our page for updates — we'll let you know as soon as we're able to confirm whether Sunday's car boot is going ahead.
