Fine Cars (Gosport)
We took the SEAT franchise here for a few years in the late '80's, then the recession came in the early 90’s and the brand was dropped.
The showroom was rented to a video hire company for a few years ‘Big Picture Video.’
We ran a used car business at the side and rear of the premises 'Brockhurst Car Market' or BCM as it was more familiarly known.
The idea behind BCM was to retail the slightly older or higher mileage Part-Exchanges from our Lee-on-the-Solent premises, which were a little too good condition to release to other Car Dealers.
We moved back into the showroom early 00’s and took the site back over.
the Kia franchise was introduced to Gosport at this point, whilst we still had the Hyundai franchise at Lee-on-the-Solent.
The shop to the left of the showroom was owned by the company, rented as a newsagent, kebab shop, Chinese Take-Away until we took it back & knocked through - extending the showroom area.
Other shots of the rear of the site from around 2016 - a busy year for Fine Cars with new & used car sales exceeding 1,200 sales that year and an abundance of stock at that time for our Gosport premises.
