🌧️ Storms, dark nights and the clocks going back! ⏰🚗
After the storms and awful weather we've had recently, it's certainly starting to feel like winter is on its way!
With the clocks going back this weekend, the evenings will be getting darker much earlier, bringing extra challenges for everyone on the roads.
⚠️ A few things worth remembering:
🚗 Check your lights – Make sure they're all working properly and your headlights are clean.
🌧️ Watch your speed – Wet roads, standing water and fallen leaves can make stopping distances much longer.
👀 Stay alert – Pedestrians, cyclists and other road users can be much harder to spot in the dark.
🌳 Watch for storm damage – Fallen branches, debris and damaged road surfaces can catch you out.
💨 Take extra care in strong winds – Especially on exposed roads and when passing larger vehicles.
