We must have done over 20 sets of e39 jacking points/sill repairs over the past 12 months so to save clogging up the page, here is one of the coolest and rarest E39 M5s! It came in for all 4 jacking points and a couple of other bits. Carbon black over factory caramel heritage interior, 1 of 6 in the uk and Europe with the heritage caramel interior being a £3500 option back in the early 2000s! The pictures speak for themselves, every bit of rot cut out, new inner sill section, replacement rear jacking points welded in, outer sill, weld through primer on the insides of all the new panels, paint and finally cavity wax!

Mariner blue MK1 MX5 came in last spring for the usual arch and sill repair, but luckily no where near as bad as the uk cars! Still needed cutting out and a replacement section welding in, painting and finally cavity waxed with Dinitrol cavity wax to ensure a lasting repair! A replacement door was also sourced painted and fitted due to the old one being an uneconomical repair. The customer was absolutely thrilled start to finish

As of 2026, Cross Auto Restorations will now offer leather re-connolising as one of its services.

Shown here is full E39 M5 interior that was originally black and grey leather, re-connolised in BMW walknappa caramel. This interior was done in Tim’s personal E39 back in May 2025 and has stood the test of time with daily use.

One very rotten mk2 mx5! But anything can be saved! Came in with previous repairs which were failing so absolutely everything was cut out and we started from scratch with full new panels! This included inner sill, centre strengthening section, outer sill, quarter panel section, floor sections, and inner arch closing panel!
