Sometimes the best feedback is the feedback you’re not expecting! 😊🚗

This message landed in my inbox today from a complete stranger who happened to be driving behind one of my pupils. They took the time to get in touch just to say how well she was driving, mentioning her speed, signalling, smoothness and how well she handled the road conditions.

As an instructor, you obviously know how your pupils are progressing, but hearing something like this from another driver who has absolutely no reason to say it makes you feel pretty damn proud! 😁

Well done to my pupil Isla 👏 You might not have known anyone was watching, but clearly you were making a good impression!

And to the lovely person who took the time to message me, thank you. You’ve made an instructor very happy today! 😊👍

🎉🚗 A MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS TO MATTHEW! 🚗🎉

Well, Matthew has only gone and done it! 🙌 He passed his driving test today at East Kilbride Test Centre and what a way to do it! 😎

The examiner actually congratulated him on a great drive… but wait for it… Matthew managed to produce something that is becoming rarer than a driving test appointment these days…

📋 A CLEAN SHEET! 📋

Yep… ZERO MINORS! 😳👏

I don’t normally mention how many minors someone gets because, at the end of the day, passing is passing. But when you manage to go through an entire driving test without collecting a single one, and pretty much produce a perfect drive, it would be rude NOT to mention it! 😂

A huge thank you to Auntie Gwen for taking Matthew out for all that extra practice. It clearly shows! 👏🚗 The hours spent out practising have definitely paid off, and you played a massive part in getting him over the line today.

And finally… apologies for the rather questionable cartoon character instead of Matthew’s photograph. Apparently he is camera shy. 🤦‍♂️😂

I honestly don’t know what is happening with kids these days. They’ll happily drive a car around East Kilbride with an examiner sitting beside them judging their every move, but ask them to stand still for a photograph and suddenly they’ve got the confidence of a WiFi signal in the middle of nowhere! 📵😂

Matthew, you should be absolutely delighted with yourself. A brilliant drive, a clean sheet and a well deserved pass! 🥳👏

🚗🎉 MASSIVE CONGRATULATIONS MOLLY! 🎉🚗

What a way to start a very rainy morning! 🌧️☔ Molly has only gone and PASSED her driving test 🥇 today at East Kilbride Test Centre! 🙌🥳

The examiner said it was a great drive and that Molly drove very well, which is fantastic to hear. All that practice around East Kilbride certainly paid off, and I think by now she probably knows every road, roundabout and pothole in the area! 😂

It has been an absolute pleasure teaching you, Molly, and I’m definitely going to miss the banter and laughs during our lessons. You’ve been great fun to teach and it’s been brilliant watching your confidence grow. 😊

A massive well done to Mum and Dad too for taking Molly out for plenty of practice. It really does make such a difference, and all those hours driving around East Kilbride have clearly paid off. 👏🚗

The examiner said it was a fantastic drive, so what a brilliant way to finish things off! 👏😃

A huge well done to Mum hazellrobertson as well for taking Alasdair out so many times and helping him learn the area so well. I’m sure she is absolutely delighted to have been promoted to full time driving instructor… although I suspect she is now more than ready for her retirement! 😂

Congratulations Mum, you have officially earned yourself your very own chauffeur! 🥳🚗 Although there is one small problem… you might want to say cheerio to your car now, because I’m not sure you’re ever going to get it back! 😂😂

🎉🚗 SANDRA HAS ONLY GONE AND PASSED! 🚗🎉

A HUGE congratulations to Sandra who passed her driving test this morning 🥇 at East Kilbride Test Centre! 🥳👏

Now, Sandra has always requested to remain anonymous for “work purposes”… so obviously I can’t reveal her surname, location, job, shoe size or anything else that could compromise her identity. 🤫🕵️‍♀️

All I can say is that she is believed to be a high flying undercover cover spy who may or may not spend her working day saving the world. 😂🕵️‍♀️🌎

Her cover is now even more secure because she can legally drive away from suspicious looking situations without having to ask Mum or Dad for a lift! 😂🚗💨

Seriously though, Sandra, you’ve done absolutely brilliantly. A reasonably quick pass and thoroughly deserved! 👏

And a massive well done to Mum and Dad for getting you out driving plenty and helping you get over the line. You’ve all put the work in! 👏👏

🎉🚗 SHE DID IT! 🚗🎉

A massive congratulations to Jayla on passing her driving test 🥇 this morning in a sunny ☀️ East Kilbride!

If there was an award for being nervous before a driving test, I think Jayla would have won it! 😅 Learning to drive is nerve racking enough, then test day comes along and multiplies those nerves by about 10! 🤯

But once the drive was over, the examiner told her she had passed and that it was a great drive. 🎉👏 You should be so proud of yourself, Jayla. All the hard work, determination and perseverance paid off.

A huge well done also to Mum and Dad 👏👏 All those evenings out practising have finally paid off. You now have your very own chauffeur! 🚗😂 I am sure they will be making the most of that over the next few weeks.

A massive thank you as well for the lovely card and gift. You really did not have to. It would appear I talk quite a lot during lessons because you bought me my favourite drink… Guinness! 🍺😂 I cannot argue with that choice!

Good luck with your piccolo playing 🎶 I have a feeling I will be hearing all about you when you are rich and famous. Just remember us little people!

🎉🚗 HUGE congratulations to Lily on passing her driving test 🥇 this afternoon at the always cheerful… well… not really… East Kilbride Test Centre! 😂🌧️

It was a proper nerve wracking drive with an examiner who seemed to be auditioning for a silent movie! 🤐😳 Not a peep the whole way round. Just when you start wondering if he’s forgotten how to speak… he finally delivers the magic words…

“You’ve passed!” 🥳🎉🚘

There wasn’t much to say afterwards either because your driving was so good! 🌟👏 Always a nice problem to have! 😄

Now you can head off to study later this year with one less thing to stress about 📚🎓

As for your mum… congratulations on gaining a full time chauffeur! 😂🚖 I’m sure she’ll have a list of jobs ready before you’ve even found the handbrake!

☀️🚗 A HUGE CONGRATULATIONS TO ROBBIE FOR PASSING HIS DRIVING TEST TODAY 🥇 🚗☀️

A brilliant result this sunny morning at East Kilbride Driving Test Centre 🥳👏

This has been a great journey to watch. Robbie always had the ability, it was just about slowing things down, trusting himself and not treating every situation like a Formula 1 qualifying lap 😂🏎️

Lesson by lesson the confidence grew and everything started clicking into place 👌

A massive well done Robbie, thoroughly deserved mate 👏🚘

And an even bigger shoutout to Dad for constantly taking him out practising 🚗😂 The amount of times that poor passenger seat has probably heard “I KNOW” and “I SAW IT” deserves some kind of bravery award 🏅🤣

Enjoy the freedom Robbie, stay safe and remember… no more relying on lifts from everyone else.

🎉 HUGE congratulations to Ruairidh for passing his driving test this morning at East Kilbride Driving Test Centre 🚗💨

From overthinking roundabouts to now officially being unleashed onto the roads alone, he absolutely smashed it today 👏😄

Ruairidh worked really hard for this pass and kept pushing himself every lesson. He could be tough on himself at times, but that determination paid off this morning with a fantastic result.

Now begins the expensive part… insurance quotes, petrol prices and becoming everyone’s personal taxi driver 😂

A HUGE thank you as well to Mum gail.anderson.129 and Dad for endlessly taking him out practising. Countless hours sacrificed sitting in car parks, surviving dodgy hill starts and pretending not to panic at roundabouts 😅 It honestly makes such a massive difference.

Good luck with Engineering at university Ruairidh, I’m sure you’ll smash that too 👨‍🔧📚 And enjoy your holiday. 😎☀️
