🚨 ANOTHER DAY, ANOTHER CRACKED TYRE! 🚨

Yesterday we showed you one… and today the tyre gods have delivered another! 😂

This one might still have plenty of tread, but have a good look at those cracks 😳👇

🛞 Good tread doesn’t automatically mean a good tyre!

Tyres can deteriorate with age, heat and exposure to the elements, causing the rubber to crack and weaken. Once cracking becomes this severe, it’s time for the tyre to go — regardless of how much tread is left.

A tyre is the only thing connecting your car to the road, so it’s definitely not an area worth taking chances with.

Check your tyres regularly — don’t wait until they look like this!

🚨 TYRE TREAD LOOKS GOOD… BUT WOULD YOU CHECK THE SIDEWALL? 🚨

These tyres are a perfect example of why tread depth isn’t the only thing that matters when it comes to tyre safety.

👀 As you can see from the photos, there is still a reasonable amount of tread remaining — but the rubber is badly cracked and perished throughout the tread.

⚠️ Cracked/perished tyres can have a reduced grip and compromised structural integrity, particularly under braking, cornering and in wet conditions. Simply having plenty of tread left doesn’t automatically mean a tyre is safe.

Tyres can deteriorate with age, heat, sunlight, storage and general use, so they should be checked regularly for:
🔴 Cracking
🔴 Perishing
🔴 Bulges or damage
🔴 Uneven wear
🔴 Tread depth

👉 Don’t judge a tyre by tread depth alone.

If you’re unsure about the condition of your tyres, pop in and let us have a look. We’d much rather advise you that they’re safe than have you driving around on tyres that need replacing.

Your tyres are the only thing connecting your car to the road — don’t take chances. 🚗💨
