An award-winning volunteer who faced his own battle with alcohol is going back to his roots and opening a shop in a bid to offer hope to all those on the road to recovery.

Former Tele Community champion Robert Whaley worked as a market trader in Glasgow as a 15-year-old before drink took a grip of his life. Now the Port Glasgow man is living his dream after opening up a charity store in Kilblain Street, Greenock, to help support the Greenock Recovery Alcohol Support Project - an initiative he describes as his "lifeline".

This thing is Crazy, One of the hardest pieces we have had 7ft something 😑 Customer had some damage to rear diffuser and passenger side skirt , we were able to source the exact film used on existing parts and carry out the repairs as shown , the step was pieced in two dips something we are not 100% with so this will be back off and done again at no extra expense to the client 🤝

I’ve used Impact Hydro Dipping a few times and cannot fault them. Stephen is very passionate about his business and will not deliver a job that is not right. I would recommend them to anyone who is thinking about getting any part of their car Hydro Dipped. I will be getting a few parts on my car done for next years shows.
