INIECTOR TESTING.⛽ ASNU | Fuel Injector Testing & Servicing

This is why we recommend PREVENTATIVE SERVICING of petrol injectors!

As you can see from the bottom of these injector seals, they are approaching the end of their life.

The bottom of the seal has turned dark brown from heat exposure, while the top remains a lighter colour. This is a clear indication of thermal ageing and a reminder of why preventative servicing is so important.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THESE SEALS FAIL?
When a combustion seal deteriorates and no longer seals correctly, combustion gases can escape past the seal. These extremely hot gases can transfer excessive heat into the injector body and internal components, potentially affecting the injector's precision and operation.

Petrol GDI injectors operate to incredibly fine tolerances. In the ball-and-seat area, clearances can be around the one micron level. Excessive heat and thermal distortion can affect the movement and seating of the injector's internal components, potentially altering spray characteristics and fuel delivery.

The consequences can include:
* ❌ Engine misfires
* ❌ Hesitation and poor drivability
* ❌ Unstable combustion
* ❌ Incorrect fuel delivery and spray patterns
* ❌ Potential injector failure

These faults can be extremely difficult to diagnose. A diagnostic scanner can identify certain symptoms and fault codes, but it cannot necessarily confirm the underlying mechanical condition of an injector or accurately assess its spray performance in every situation.

WHY SPECIALIST ASNU TESTING MATTERS
The ASNU worldwide network specialises in injector testing and servicing, helping identify problems that may otherwise go undetected using conventional diagnostic methods.

In severe cases, an injector can stick closed and cause a loss of fuel delivery. If an injector sticks open, excessive fuel delivery can lead to serious engine damage, including cylinder flooding and, in extreme circumstances, hydraulic lock. The resulting damage can be catastrophic.

The lifespan of injector seals is influenced by heat exposure, engine operating conditions and time in service, not simply the number of miles driven.

The package combines lowering springs, an upgraded rear anti-roll bar and adjustable rear drop links, with some worthwhile benefits for the way the car drives 👇🏽

✅ Reduced body roll
The upgraded rear anti-roll bar helps keep the car flatter through corners, improving body control and making changes of direction feel more composed.

✅ More balanced handling
Designed to work alongside the factory front anti-roll bar, the rear upgrade helps reduce the Golf R’s tendency to understeer, giving it a more neutral, responsive feel through bends.

✅ A purposeful drop
The springs provide approximately 25mm of lowering front and rear, reducing the arch gap for a cleaner, more purposeful stance.

✅ Everyday comfort in mind
The linear-rate springs are designed to work with the factory dampers, including DCC, delivering a slightly firmer, predictable ride that remains suited to daily driving.

A proper intake upgrade for this Audi RS Q3 2.5 TFSI 👌

The car had already been tuned by Ecotune and was running well. The owner wanted to take the setup further, so we recommended upgrading the intake and turbo inlet, as you may well know, the factory options are just 💩

They chose the Forge Motorsport carbon induction kit (FMINDK47) with the Forge high-flow turbo inlet (FMINLH9). The kit uses a large 6-inch filter and carbon-fibre intake pipe, while the inlet replaces the restrictive factory pipe with a smoother-flowing design.

It’s a tidy upgrade for the engine bay, with more induction sound and sharper throttle response to match.

Forge lists these parts for selected Audi RS Q3, RS 3 and TTRS models, as well as the Cupra Formentor VZ5. Fitment varies, so send us your reg, model and year and we’ll check what’s right for your car.

Mk8 Golf R & Audi S3 8Y | TVS DQ381 Clutch Upgrade
