BMW 4 series convertible a victim of the well known blocked drain issue 🤯

Both rear quarter drains blocked resulting in water spilling out into the boot destroying the AMP and shorting out a window motor stopping the roof from working ❌

A full interior strip required to remove the water and dry the interior out, a new AMP, several wiring repairs, modification to the drains, new window regulator and it’s all sorted ✅

BMW 116D in for drivetrain fault issues.

Fault codes indicated a fault with the clutch which we confirmed as it was slipping excessively.

Gearbox removed showing a very worn clutch.

Full genuine LUK dual mass flywheel and clutch kit fitted same day with the car returned to the customer for the bank holiday weekend 💪✅

BMW X3 recovered to us as a non runner ❌

Fault codes indicated a fuel pressure fault. After some investigation we found the high pressure fuel pump had failed and sent metal shavings through the full fuel system 🤯

Fuel tank
Fuel supply and return lines

Another N47 timing chain job this week.

This 320D had already had the chain done less than two years ago. Unfortunately a cheap aftermarket kit was used 👎 The lower chain guides had started to disintegrate and had blocked the oil pickup.

Lower chain was also already stretched (new chain vs old chain in pic)

Fixed the Autobahntechnik way, with a full genuine BMW chain kit installed ✅
