3.0d V6 R-Class. Customer complaint of non-start, attended at his home and found no communication with engine, gearbox or ABS/ESP control units. After some digging found power supply to ECU's(engine fuse box) missing.positive jump connection had fuses "built into" it. Mercedes only sell the jump box as a unit approx £150!!. My curiosity got the better of me and I split it apart and tested newly exposed fuses, 100amp fuse had no continuity 🤨 what could cause this fuse to blow??. After quizzing the customer a little further, it turns out fault happened after an attempted jump start. Renewed the fuse(£3.00) and jump started. Cleared the faults with STAR machine and rebuilt👍 customer happy as Larry and on their way to Blackpool for the February break 🎢 happy days.

Customer complained of always blowing cold air, stripped out glove box to check actuator on blend door and found it working ok 🤔 hot water going in and out of matrix (checked with thermal camera). Dug a bit deeper and although the actuator and rod were all moving correctly the blend door inside the heater and air conditioning box had snapped. Curiously cut a hole in the side of the matrix box and found... A handlamp left there from someone's previous repair, jammed the blend door and has snapped the rod inside the air conditioning box. Parts required don't come separate new heater box's required . Prob about 8hrs work and a lot of screws. Gonna need all my patience for this one 😂
