TMT racing has a good start to the season at brands hatch putting us in a great position for this year's campaign.

Round 1 Bemsee - Brands Hatch

A bit of a rusty start to the year but a great laugh as usual.

Friday went to shambles throwing the new R6 down the road on the second lap due to a cold front tyre, however no damage other than a couple scratches meant the test day wasn’t stumped and I was still able to get some laps under my belt 😅.

Qualifying - This morning was just about securing a grid slot and getting the feeling back, I turned steady laps on the R6 and some clear track half way through the session left a good window for one more lap then in, putting in a 51.8 and 24th overall on the grid 🥴 but this weekend wasn’t about results it was about learning and understanding the bike. Meanwhile the old ZX10 managed P2 in qualy 0.06 off of pole 🙄

MRO 600 - race 1 was the positivity boost I needed, moving up 10 places and taking over a second off my lap time was a step in the right direction for learning the bike, and would put me somewhat further forward allowing me to learn more, as the weekend went on I stayed around the same pace but the more I jumped between the ZX10 and the R6, and was racing with plenty of 600’s I was quickly learning the differences and the areas I needed to work on.

Thunderbike Ultra - a soft start to the weekend with a bit of a spongy bike (turns out I still had Donny’s wet settings in from the end of last year 😂) not going to complain about mid 49’s and a P1 considering. But we put it back to dry to allow me to push the bike further as the pace ramped up, with the exception of the 2nd race leaving me P3 the bike felt great and managed 2nd and put in a 49.1 in the strong winds. The quick change of weather right at the end of the day meant changing over wheels last minute for the final race of the day but managed another P2.

After a few years of racing and striving for better my son Tyler Donovan managed to take himself and TMTracing to become champions of 2 championships.
