Don’t forget about your MOT!
As autumn starts and kids head back to school, thousands of drivers face their annual MOT.

3 simple checks you can do at home before the test to save time and money:
💡 Lights - Main reason for MOT failures. Check your indicators, headlights, and brake lights - replace any blown bulbs.
🛞 Tyres - Check for tread wear, visible damage, and correct inflation pressures.
🌧️ If your wipers aren’t clearing the screen, replace them, it’s easy to do.

With a Bank Holiday weekend fast approaching, you just know the motorways are going to be chokka!

Every motorist’s worst nightmare is being stranded on the hard shoulder. ⚠️ 🛞 Did you know that 1 in 5 motorway breakdowns are tyre-related?

Before you set off on your next long journey, take just 5 minutes to ACT:
➡️ A - Air Pressure: Check & inflate. You might just need a quick top-up, but a low reading could mean a puncture.
➡️ C - Condition: Look closely for any damage, cuts, or bulges.
➡️ T - Tread Depth: Are your tyres looking worn or bald?

⚖️ The Law: The legal minimum tyre tread depth is 1.6mm across the central 3/4 of the breadth of the tyre, around the entire circumference. Look for the small raised indicator bars inside the grooves, if your tread is level with them, you are at the limit!
🌧️ Safety Tip: TyreSafe recommends replacing your tyres when they hit 3mm. Wet weather braking distances increase significantly below this depth.
👮 The Penalties: Driving with illegal tyres can land you a fine of up to £2,500 and 3 penalty points PER illegal tyre.

First off, we know this has been a long time coming, and we’re super grateful for your patience. You’ve stuck with us and we’d like to acknowledge that. 🙏🙏🙏

We are in the final stages of prep to share release details and timings etc.
PLEASE NOTE: This post is NOT the starting gun! We’re going to share some details and ask you a very important question at the end.

This is what we can share with you right now>
• The format is going to be a form of raffle.
• We will ask you to comment ‘Why you’d like one of our Lego defenders’ the best comments will then go forward into a random draw.
• Those that are successful (in the random draw) will be given an opportunity to buy the Lego set.

Which leads us in to the very important question, HOW MUCH should we charge for this set? 🤔
We’d like you to think about it and leave your thoughts in the comments below. It would be great if the suggestions can be sensible and respectful.

Here’s some background information.
Each kit will contain 161 genuine LEGO pieces.
When built, the model is approx 125mm long, 60mm wide and 70mm tall.
The kit will include a limited edition sticker set which we commissioned local illustrator to produce. There will also be an exclusive Defender keyring, which replicates exactly the lego model.
All of these items are unique and exclusive to Ring

Some pre-release sets have been shared with ‘friends’ that have a connection to Land Rover Defenders, therefore a maximum of 50 sets will be made available to the public. We will share the exact number in the follow up post.

This project has been a labour of love, Ring will not profit one penny, in fact we will make a loss on each set but making a profit was never our motivation, it was to share our love of defenders and Lego with you.
