Jag Landrover engine warning lamp on,
After a scan P049B, A common code on many modern diesel vehicles, In this situation fortunately we had prior knowledge of the vehicle having a replacement Diesel Particulate Filter, (a leaking/cracked dpf allows soot to pass and and contaminate the low pressure EGR system) A quick check of the exhaust tailpipe can tell you if you’re wasting your time cleaning 😉
So in pictures, we removed the low pressure EGR cooler filter and what do you know it’s clogged with soot, Cleaned everything rebuilt all good 👌🏻 This is accessible mostly from the N/S wheel arch

A brief interruption to work today for the team

This jobs never easy 🫣🥴🥴
Confirmed ABS fault, Scanned Right front no signal, open/short circuit, pretty standard, confirmed open circuit in wheel speed sensor and stupidly stopped there,
New sensor fitted same fault😭😭
Checked new sensor ok, Checked feed 😤😤 guess what 🐁🐁
Damage repaired fault gone 👌🏻
Maybe to quick to assume it was only the sensor at fault 🤷🏼‍♂️

Landrover Offside rear intermittent ABS fault.
Started the diagnostic process including road testing with some graph data too establish customer complaint of warning lamp,
After testing sensor resistance and signal OK
moved to load testing wiring and discovered current breakdown on wiring, after disconnecting wiring under Nearside front headlamp and retesting then opening up wiring loom over Nearside chassis air tank,
We found the culprit 😬👌🏻
After repairing a few damaged wires and re sealing the loom we rebuild and road test 👍🏻
