🎉 Another first time pass 🎉

Well done to Jack on an excellent drive this morning passing first time in Gala, showcasing exactly what you can do!

An excellent pupil from the start, always enthusiastic on learning to drive and took on board everything he was taught.

Jack is also the proud owner of my old car, and he put in a lot of extra practice with his mum, Julia. An excellent team effort and one I'm sure she will be glad is over 😂

Well done to Ross, a brilliant first time pass in Gala with some lovely comments from the examiner on the drive. Although he nearly got me as I was walking up shaking his head looking all depressed 😂

Been a top pupil from the start, always willing to learn, and put the effort in to become a safe driver for his wife and daughter.

Will miss the football chat, and I'm really happy to see you get this over the line 💪

Also good news number 2 for my other pupil who wished to remain anonymous, another first time pass today in my car just after Ross again with some nice feedback from the examiner. So congratulations to you both! 🙌

Well done to Max passing in Kelso on Wednesday! A near perfect drive, a fitting result for a brilliant driver 😁

Max was always very keen on learning to drive from the start and with thanks to Mum and Dad for all the extra practice between lessons 💪

Will always remember that McDonalds drive through lesson where you wanted to buy your colleagues lunch. 3 chicken share boxes?! 😅

Don’t Drive Blind.

My biggest pet peeve on the roads is seeing people on their phones while driving. Yet, they don't realise how far you can travel after just 1 second.

At 30 mph, your vehicle travels about 13 meters every second.

That means a quick glance at your phone can take you:

1 second: 13 meters — about 3 car lengths
2 seconds: 27 meters — about 6 car lengths
3 seconds: 40 meters — about 9 car lengths
5 seconds: 67 meters — about 15 car lengths
10 seconds: 134 meters — about 30 car lengths

A text, notification, or “just one quick look” can cover more distance than you think—without your eyes on the road.

Eyes on the road. Hands on the wheel. Stay safe.
A few seconds of distraction can change everything.
