Vehicle Glass and Glazing Ltd are looking to recruit a trainee employee; offering supported training with the view to progress into a fully qualified Windscreen Technician (work related qualifications will be offered upon successful completion of training period).
The correct candidate must be polite, hardworking with an eagerness to learn, have excellent timekeeping and organisational skills along with a full UK driving licence.
The role is customer facing and involves working on and along side the customers vehicle(s), where the upmost care and attention to detail is required.
The job is physically demanding and whilst lifting equipment is provided, there is an element of heavy lifting involved in the role on a daily basis.
The trainee will receive support throughout the training period, starting with the basics such as awareness training and windscreen chip repairs, advancing to the more skilled tasks such as removal and refit of vehicle body glass (commercial and domestic).
Awareness of vehicle mechanics would be an advantage.
Working hours are 08:00-17:00 Monday – Friday as standard with regular Saturday morning work at extra pay.
