A huge well done to all of our Lochaber & District MCC riders in this years Scottish Six Days Trial.

A great ride from Ben Dignan this year finishing in 12th Place overall and being awarded the Ian Fender Quaich for best finish by a Scottish competitor.

Lastly, the club would like to wish a speedy recovery to Stuart Robertson who unfortunately didn’t manage to finish the trial this year due to an injury sustained at group C on the Tuesday morning, after a hospital visit it turned out Stuart had ruptured his Achilles, somehow he completed the whole day on Tuesday 🤯

Great riding from all the guys, hopefully we will see you all back for SSDT 2027 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿💪

Ok folks we have taken the decision to cancel/postpone 2nd round championship the Ally Beag Memorial at Strontian next sunday the 17th May - we understand with the ssdt and everyone's time being so valuable the date is not ideal and entries have fallen over the last few years .
With just 23 entries and 2 observers it is just not feasable to run the even .
We will work with the SACU to find a new date for us to hold the event later in the year .
Apologies to everyone that has entered we will issue a full refund to all entrants .

We will update everyone as soon as we have any news regarding rescheduling the event.

We all know theres a fairly big trial on next week in lochaber 👀🫣
But theres also rd 2 of the scottish championship the weekend after - Ally Beag memorial at Strontian - fantastic venue and this year the club are delighted to announce that we will cover the cost of the ferry for all competitors/ observers .
Details will be emailed to everyone before the event.
We are running a full list of routes including the youths/osets .

CHANGE OF VENUE
sundays trial at achnacarry has been moved to Muirshearlich due to the condition of the ground with the amount of rain weve had .
Anyway Muirshearlich we all know what that means 🤔
Lots of people watching other people try to get up trotter burn
- come alone and have a watch or maybe have 3 shredded wheat and give it a go yourself
PS We also have a many other sections for all ages and abilities.

Gutted !! is probably the best way to describe it .
The decision to pull an event is never easy but we feel it was 100% the correct one .
We have to put the safety and wellbeing of the observers above everything else and at 9.00am this morning the conditions were horrendous at low level never mind up at the sections where the temps would be - 10° colder .
We will look at trying to rerun the event if possible but this wont be in the near future (months rather than weeks)

We do have costs to cover - catering /toilets etc but we are also aware that many of you have travelled a good distance to ride the trial with accommodation etc -so refunds will be issued to those that request them .

Not sure what else to say guys - huge amount of work went into this event and as a lot of you know its an absolutely fantastic trial -just gutted we couldn't send you home with a smile on your face ☹️
