A well known X308 XJR has been in the workshop, following a call from the .smallest.cog.

The Jaguar that purchased for the second time is now back in full health and Tom enjoyed resolving the issue this with the team!

Out on the road with Alex Kersten Rory McKie Taylor Hetherington as the epic journey continues.

Gertrude, Mercedes-Benz G280, is certainly earning her keep!

Despite the 47°C heat and running two cylinders down, this old G-Class is still pushing on and taking everything the journey can throw at her.

It’s been fantastic to be part of the adventure so far, with plenty of incredible scenery, challenging miles and memories being made along the way.

What a day at Food&Fuel – Up The Hill at Shelsley Walsh, The Hill!

Tom took the Jaguar XE SV Project 8 along, and it felt particularly special bringing the P8 back to Shelsley Walsh.

Back in 2017, Jaguar launched the Project 8 with an orange P8 attacking the famous Shelsley Walsh hill climb as part of the car’s launch activity.

Fast forward nearly a decade and we were back at the same hill with our own Project 8 - and what a way to spend the day!

The original Jaguar launch video really captured what made this car so special: 592bhp, four-wheel drive, a huge amount of noise and a Jaguar that was never afraid to be completely outrageous.

Seeing the P8 back at Shelsley Walsh, surrounded by some incredible cars and enthusiasts, was a brilliant reminder of just how special this car is.

Huge thanks to everyone at Food&Fuel for putting on such a fantastic event, and to everyone who came over to see the Project 8 and have a chat.

Always great to catch up with the wonderful car community!

The Carrera 2S has now found its new home, so the search begins for what comes next…

A 997.2 Turbo PDK.

The facelifted 997 Turbo brings together everything Tom loves about this generation of 911 — the iconic shape, 500 PS, four-wheel drive and Porsche’s PDK gearbox.

We are looking for the right car, rather than simply the next car. Specification, condition, history and provenance will all be important.

The Porsche factory images used here are from the Porsche Newsroom media library, featuring the 997.2 Turbo and Walter Röhrl, and are used as reference/library imagery rather than representing the exact car currently being sought.

After a fantastic experience of Porsche ownership, Tom has decided it’s time to take the next step and move into a 997 Turbo - so his much loved Carrera 2S is now looking for its next owner.

A seriously lovely example of the 997 Carrera 2S, with the naturally aspirated 3.8-litre flat-six, 6-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive.

8TH AUGUST – WHAT A DAY AT OULTON PARK!

The Cheshire Cats meeting with the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust and Classic Sports Car Club delivered a seriously action-packed day — both on and off track!

THREE RACES. TWO PODIUMS. ONE VERY BUSY DAY.

JAGUAR CHAMPIONSHIP – RACE 1

Starting P6, Tom made steady progress, getting past Ieuan Spooner before a fantastic battle with Andy Harper in the Auto Reserve Parts Jaguar S-Type R.
Following Tom Robinson’s retirement, Tom crossed the line 3rd overall and 3rd in class!

RACE 2

A ball draw put Tom on the front row — perhaps a little too eager to get away!

A false start resulted in a penalty, but Tom wasn’t giving up. He had another great battle with Tom Robinson before the race was brought to an early end by a red flag.

POWERED BY JAGUAR

Then came the big one…Sharing the Tom Lenthall Ltd Jaguar XJS with James Wall, James Wall the pairing qualified P4.

Tom made a fantastic start and was soon up to 3rd, before another great battle with Andy Harper’s S-Type R.

Tom then made the move into Druids, promoting the XJS into 2nd!

After the pit stop, James took over, switching from the front-wheel-drive X-Type Estate he’d raced earlier to the rear-wheel-drive XJS.

The pairing crossed the line 1st in class and 2nd overall!

What a way to finish a full-on day of racing.

OFF TRACK

Tom’s Jaguar E-Type formed part of the fantastic JDHT display, celebrating Jaguar’s heritage.

Tom also appeared on stage twice — first for a fireside chat with , James Martin and Ben Collins (aka The Stig), followed by a catch-up with Wayne Scott | Magazine Editor | Presenter | PR Editor of JEC Magazine.

A huge thank you to JDHT, CSCC, our fellow competitors, marshals, organisers and everyone who came along to support us.

Time has come for Tom to part with his faithful Land Rover Discovery 4 - now sold to !

It needed a few things doing to it prior to sale, including an essential item!

Really looking forward to the ‘Cheshire Cats’ race meeting at with the .trust & on Saturday 8th August.

We will be racing the XJS as well being involved on the live stage throughout the day!

Check out this 1966 Series 1 E Type - the customer has made some great choices to produce a wonderful fast road classic.

Some additional modifications such as a 5 speed manual gearbox and air conditioning will make the car even more enjoyable to live with!
