We are now offering the service of wet timing belt replacement on the 1.0 ford ecoboost engines. Ford recommends belt replacement at 10 years or 150,000 miles. Unfortunately these belts are showing signs of failure before the recommended time, usually presenting with oil pressure problems due to deterioration of the wet belt. This example was caught in time to prevent any damage.
Repair consists of wet timing belt kit replacement, oil pump belt replacement, new crank bolt/friction washer/crank seal, water pump replacement, fresh oil and filter. All at around 10 hours labour.

It’s been a while since we last posted any updates, we’ve entered our 4th year of business earlier this year and so happy with how busy we are, the amount of repeat customers, and the kind words of recommendation that have helped us to get to this point. Below: vauxhall vivaro getting a new lease of life with a replacement engine after turbo failure, toyota previa unfortunately beyond economic repair after a siezed engine from a blocked oil pick up, 2011 focus tdci having a replacement engine due to cracked cylinder liner. We are more than happy to take on the big jobs as well as all your regular service, mot and day to day repair work.

Few updates on a selection of work carried out over the past few weeks.
~ Head gasket replacement on a very nice mk1 golf 16v
~ focus St for upgraded Rs clutch and flywheel to handle the current and planned bhp upgrades
~ engine replacement on a ford focus with the 3 cylinder Ecoboost engine
~ citroen ds3 for some chrome side mouldings to make it a little more individual

Been a busy few weeks catching up on work after some time off. Another vehicle kept on the road with a reconditioned engine fitted, plenty of service and mot work carried out, timing belt and water pump replaced on a performance focus ST and a perfectly timed clutch replacement on a civic type R before it failed and left the car unable to drive.

Vauxhall Signum 3.2 v6. After oil pump failure caused damage beyond economical repair the easiest thing was to fit a replacement engine. Engine failure isn't always the end of a vehicles life, for a quote on supply/fitment call 01394 282403.
