Paul started this business over thirty years ago as a motorbike dealer and soon became established as one of the north’s specialist Honda Dealers. As well as selling new and used motorbikes to suit all pockets, he also was a top man at repairing them, winning several awards from Honda. However, when the market started to decline he had to make a move into other areas of business, so with people spending more time on there leisure pursuit’s he slowly introduced fishing tackle into the shop. Gradually the fishing tackle took over the majority of the sales floor downstairs. With his mechanical knowledge from his years of working on motorbikes and the ever expanding leisure market he made the decision to start selling remote controlled models ( Cars, Buggies and Boats Etc ). This was in a small area of the upper sales floor unit but with a big increase in stock levels it had to be moved. A new counter area was built with a dedicated area for repairing of models and now occupies the full length of the upper sales floor. Downstairs Paul’s partner Michelle has her own area of the sales floor where she sells toys and games, she also runs a very successful Christmas club. With the club people can put away any of the goods we sell in the shop and make payments on a regular basis over the weeks leading to Christmas and then collect them. We have the facility to store goods as required for collection, which is usually just before Christmas. As we are a “family” business we rely on repeat business and word of mouth. This we do by offering a first class friendly service along with the help and advice to all, regardless of knowledge or ability.
