Yesterday I received this detailed review from a customer who purchased a F-RIB 360 and an Epropulsion Spirit 1.0 Plus outboard motor. Here's what he had to say...

"We are boat owners and have experience of various different small craft whether as a yacht tender or for use in their own right. Our goal was to find something that was easy to transport, would comfortably fit 4 people onboard and above all, was stable and safe to use in a variety of different circumstances and conditions.

"We were delighted with the service we received from Alan Thorne at The Purifier Yacht and Dinghy Co Ltd. It was refreshing to meet someone who really knew their product in detail and with first hand experience of using it. Nothing was too much trouble when inflating and deflating the various boats as we pondered which size we may need. His after sale service has been impeccable too.

"We are based on The Swale and have used the boat numerous times now in different conditions on the river and associated creeks.

"The set up and inflation takes around 10 to 15 minutes from start to finish and is in fact even quicker when packing it away. It makes for a solid and very stable boat. We have had teenagers swimming from it, diving in and climbing back aboard from the water with no noticeable movement in terms of stability, even when climbing out over the side.
With 4 people onboard there was some spray when it was a little choppy but this was to be expected.
The wheels are great and make launching and recovery so easy, even on the long and uneven slipway at Harty Ferry. Being detachable makes fitting it all in the car so much easier.

"We have been developing our confidence with the range of the motor and have found that using it at around 650 W gives the best balance of range and distance. I would reckon on doing about 3.5 knots for a couple of hours at this. Clearly this is entirely dependent on many different factors such as wind, tide, load etc. The motor is incredibly easy to use, quiet and vibration free with no fumes! It is so much more pleasurable than a petrol outboard.
