It’s always nice to know about more about the vehicles we own. Where they served, possible stories behind them. The human connection.

Having posted less then 48hrs ago on another Facebook group. It was a shock and lovely to hear from an Ex- Firefighter Mark Paramor. Who had actually served on LCV!!! In December 1996 she was handed over along with her sister N94 LCV to Saltash fire station Cornwall.

Handing over ceremony: December 1996...L-R Firefighter Paramor (me), Station Officer Denley, Councilor Tony Nettle, Firefighter Doney (in cab), Public Protection Committee Chair Kate Williams (RIP) and Firefighter Wyatt.

Both appliances gave 18years of service before being placed into reserve fleet.

Given recent events. It makes us all appreciate those who are willing to answer the call. No matter the danger…

I spent last Tuesday with another lovely couple! We toured the site and overcame some seriously challenging routes, Tanks and Unimogs make big ruts and sometimes you just want a challenge! Great fun, I totally understand why Adam loves leading the quads out so much, its always a pleasure!
