With well over a decade of experience within the Caravan and Leisure Industry and only 3 years as Direct Leisure Repairs as an NCC recommended Approved Workshop. We are the fastest growing company throughout our industry of our kind. I came into this industry after finishing my apprenticeship as a Graphic Designer at the age of 17. In order for me to have achieved my set goal I started working for

a caravan manufacturer as a standard labourer building caravan units from base chasis upwards. We then left my home town to work for britians leading motorhome dealership. I learnt the whole motorhome industry from service and repairs to then co running the works of the bodyshop department. I was offered a job to work for caravan dealership which enabled me to learn and become an National Caravan Council Service Engineer. This gave me a good start with what I wanted to achieve with my todays workings. NOW....

We cover all aspects of Caravan and Motorhome habitation servicing and full accessory sales. Also we are not far behind the countries main dealers for Avtex Products.

2013 was an exciting year for us as we brought our own german quality Solar Panels for the leisure industry into our country naming our system Solrtronica. We have supplied and fitted many types of solar products and we stand by our newest addition by giving this a 10 year replacement warranty

I strongly recommend that you visit your caravan regular and check the exterior panels for cracks and the internal panels for water marks.

You really need to catch a problem early before it does this. (See Photos)

We said - “We can repair it….” 👍😃

This Damage in the 1st photo below was the full length of the caravan with various tears in the panel. 🙀

The last 2nd, 3rd and 4th photo, shows the damage totally repaired, and fully re-finished to a super glossy shine as if it was never there. ✨🥵👍😀

😭 Why do I always get the jobs nobody wants….!!!!

I’m not sure Laika built this motorhome to carry a MotorCross Bike in the Rear Garage. Weighing approximately 132kg.

However…

The rear garage had a recommend payload of 250kg.

The Bike has been the only thing carried on the floor of the garage and strapped towards the front Bulkbhead at the strongest point.

The original floor was made up of a sandwich construction as below:-

• 1.6mm GRP Sheet (White)
• 20mm StyroFoam
• 6pcs of 20mm x 25mm Kindle Wood for the Frame
• 1x Sheet of 6mm Softwood Ply
• Glues and Adhesive (an excessive amount)
• 2mm Vinyl Flooring Overlay
• 6x 70mm Wood Screws holding the rear panel to the 15mm Frame within the sandwich construction of the floor

27.6mm thickness just won’t be enough. The styrofoam will compress over time.

This Laika Motorhome is 12years Old, the Habitation area looks like the vehicle would only be a couple years old. This motorhome it very well looked after.

Over time the rear floor has sagged, and has kept sagging until the point of sealant breakage allowing the water to enter the separated panels underneath from road surface water. Due the swelling of the woods, it is apparent the sealants on the locker door frames has split allowing more to pe*****te as the rain water runs down the side of the vehicle.

Due to the vinyl flooring being sealed to the wall on the inside of the walls of the garage, the water had nowhere to go. Over time it has turned the floor into a sticky, mould sponge.

This customer has been very lucky.

Water Ingress in the Floor of a Caravan.

This is due to the inner wheel box lining being Dry Installed by the manufacturer with only Sealant around the external meet of the Wheel Spat to the body.

Very expensive repair, manufacturer reject this as a warranty claim and claimed it’s due to Pot Hole Damage.

I’ve been doing job for 25 years. This is a manufacturing issue.

However it’s all repaired, and looking good
