Its always nice to have a classic on the ramp for some maintenance work, even being a really clean example of a JDM Mk1 Mazda MX-5 it doesn't escape the fact that bolts will snap and turn it into a bigger job, fortunately our head mechanic and business owner has the skills necessary to extract and replace them with new ones and it'll be back on the road soon 😄👌

While we mainly see the maintenance side of vehicles these days, we still thrive when we have to go back to our roots and give life back to these old cars from the classic era.

Fundamentally WLE Ltd started as an engineering and welding business and for 20+ years we've adapted and evolved with the times such as cars and technology have but we still take pride and respect these older vehicles 🤟

Is your ecoboost based Ford getting on 10 years or older? If the answer is yes then it's a good idea to get your timing belt checked.

This customer came in after the car came to a stop and wouldn't run anymore, further diagnosis found teeth sheared off of the belt and a snapped camshaft where the timing jumped and the piston met the valves, turning a timing belt replacement into an engine inspection and guarranteed head replacement.

Becoming a common fault these days and seeing more of these engines being used in other models we have the tools and equipment to do the job and get these cars back on the road 😄
