VWS Exeter is growing and we are now looking for a new technician to join our team, someone who is as passionate about the Volkswagen and Audi brand as us. Ideally, you will have already specialised in Volkswagen & Audi group but this is not essential, but you must be someone with a genuine love of the brand.

We will invest in you with full in-house training in all aspects of mechanical, electrical and diagnostic repairs.

We will also pay a competitive salary with a range of benefits:

• 20 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays and additional paid annual leave between Christmas and New Years.

Your duties will include:

• Undertake maintenance, service and repairs on motor vehicles of all the Volkswagen/Audi group.

• Care for customers’ vehicles and property and seek to achieve the highest customer satisfaction.

• Carry out all work in a safe, environmentally friendly and economical way.

• Build a bank of knowledge and skills to diagnose faults, carry out tests on vehicles and effect permanent and complete repairs.

About you:

• Served a recognised apprenticeship or other dealership approved training scheme.

• A full valid driving licence as a minimum

• Own tools.

• Attention to detail, high quality of work and a positive attitude.

• NVQ level 3 qualification

• Ability to use and interpret information from workshop information systems, including wiring diagrams

• Experience in the diagnosis, servicing, maintenance and repair of motor vehicles.

• Organised and methodical approach to problem solving.

• A care for, and attention to, detail.

Working hours:

8:00am – 5:30pm, Monday – Friday.

Work location:

Marsh Barton Trading Estate

Salary: £24,000-£32,000

We are pleased to announce that the garage has reopened and is available for MOTs, services, and repairs.

We have implemented the following measures, to ensure our customers and staff's safety:

• The reception area is temporally closed, and we request you arrive at the workshop door

• The workshop floor is marked out, to ensure there is a 2 metre distance between customers and staff

• Hand sanitizer is available, if required

• Invoices will be sent via email

• Payments will be taken over the phone

• Your key and your vehicle’s high contact points will be cleaned/sanitized before collection

WE’RE OPEN ALL WEEKEND - 21st & 22nd March!

We understand that many more drivers will want to feel reassured that their vehicles are safety checked, serviced, MOT’d and in full working order at this uncertain time, so we have decided to extend our opening hours over the weekend.

- We are opening Saturday 8:30am - 5:30pm for you to drop by for safety checks, quick fixes and problem solving.
- We are opening on Sunday 8:30am - 5:30pm by appointment only. Please call first to book ahead on 01392 493737
- If you would like a quote for work, please call us as we can respond much faster this way
- We will provide an anti-bacterial clean down of the high-contact areas of your vehicle before returning it to you.
- We will make every effort to prioritise NHS staff; thank you for everything you’re doing! x

We are striving to stay open so that we can serve our customers for as long as we can. Please note, If government guidance changes or our workforce have to self-isolate, we will of course be forced to close and in this case appointments will need to be cancelled.

The care of our customers and staff is of the highest importance here at VWS. We want to let you know that we have put in enhanced hygiene measures at this time for your reassurance and safety.

So, in addition to the usual care of your vehicle, we will:

- Clean your door handle, steering wheel, gear stick, hand-brake, indicators/wiper stalks etc with anti-bacterial wipes before and after working on your vehicle

- Wear protective gloves during your car service as usual

- Provide alcohol hand gel in reception for you to use when you arrive to drop off and collect your vehicle. Also anti-bacterial wipes, for you to clean your key when picking up your vehicle. Please remove your car key from all other keys, before handing it over to us.

-Payments can be made over the phone or without the use of using the payment pad when picking up your vehicle.

-PLEASE NOTE, if you do not wish to come into the reception area, we are happy to come out to you.
