PLEASE READ AND DIGEST.
As the committee for CMR we have taken the very difficult decision to fold Cranbrook motorcycle riders.
1. There is NO drama as to why this has happened, its just the right time, and trust me as chairman I have agonised over the last year about this as have the other committee members. The decision has left me heartbroken.
2. It's becoming increasingly difficult for small charities to survive in the current climate, also there are now so many bike nights and shows on during the season in a 15 mile radius of Cranbrook that it's difficult.
3. To all of you who have become friends, to those of you who have supported us since 2016 you are diamonds.
To Cranbrook Town Council and especially Kevin Blackley thank you for the support you have given us, it will not be forgotten. Peter Browning of ABC Aerials thank you brother for all of your support and sponsorship.
4. The good people of Cranbrook, see we told you it wasn't going to be a big drug fueled bunch of idiots on motorcycles. We stayed true to our word, for the local businesses who supported us.. thank you
5. Finally when we started this organisation there were 6 of us. Steve barfe, Scott Robertson, Phil Nevard, Andy Fred Thorne, Ralphy and myself. People left and new people came on board, Claire Clarke, Richard Clarke and David Haynes stepped up ( David is especially gifted at getting money out of big arse hairy bikers)
We had a ball and did some good, and hopefully due to our support for firstly Devon Freewheelers and lately South West bloodbikes we helped save some lives along the way.
Please continue to support South West bloodbikes if you can, because they are a bunch of the greatest volunteers you will ever meet.
