Scroll for before pics. Ajs Modena seat with a cover over the damaged factory cover with split and worn foam. Foam repaired with the underside strengthened using hessian and a new cover tailored to fit. Underside finished as neatly as the top with stainless staples.

I've not posted in a while, been busy doing some promotional vehicle upholstery for a multi national company which unfortunately I can't post pictures of. In a bit of downtime while waiting for parts and materials I thought I'd recover my sewing seat. Using spare leather from when I did my suzuki's seat I think you'll all agree that it looks the business now.

I don't normally post jobs like this as its not very glamorous. A working pick up truck this seat base was shot(unfortunately didn't take any pics), half of the foam was missing, the other half falling apart, the cover was a mix of repairs and gaffer tape. As a working truck it just needed to be usable with less concern on looks so no piping or snazzy stitching. A quick weld on a broken bracket, new elastic webbing with hessian stretched over and remade foam just reusing the knee roll part. The closeish match vinyl cover was made using a mix of measurements and tracing around usable bits of the old cover. Again as it's a working truck I didn't need to spend extra time getting a better fit and finish as I would on other jobs I do. All in all done and dusted in under four hours and now usable for many more years.

Lambretta ancillotti.Basket weave sides, black mottled top with hidden stitch pleats and grey piping. Also cut the rear down and added a 1.8cm gel pad for comfort.
