Karen Keir Design Karen Keir has combined the natural qualities of handmade strawsilk fibres with the translucence of glass to develop these uniquely individual pieces.

I have a small studio (ok… it’s a garage) in Exeter where my cottage industry has flourished over the 20 years I’ve been in business. My small team of co-workers and I work hard to create our cheerful, colourful candle holders, vases and bowls. We supply gift shops and galleries mostly around the UK and can also be seen at the Christmas Cathedral Market for one month a year in Exeter. My team: E

d has worked with me for almost all the years I have been in business. She is very talented and helps with the bulk of the decorative work and ideas. Olivia, my daughter, has been working with me for a couple of years, she is also a great sales woman on the market stall. I rely on lovely Jackie who helps my keep the place in order with book keeping and admin and I also occasionally have Lissy who comes to lend a hand when things get really busy. Two important “team” members are my wonderful parents who help out enormously with all sorts of jobs. They all support me enormously. We are a cheerful bunch! I hope you enjoy perusing all our hard work.
